jordjones Posted September 4, 2011 Posted September 4, 2011 My LDR went on for 8 months after 4 months of dating in the same area. She broke it off because she "didn't feel the same way anymore..." and "loved me but lost passion for me..." She said that distance was definitely a factor, and I am 99% sure that there wasn't another guy in the picture - after 40 days NC she is still single. Within the period of NC I moved back to the area - she knows about this. Neither she nor I expected this at the time of the breakup. So I have a few questions for the LDR forum: 1) Is passion fading in an LDR the same as in a standard relationship? My thinking is that the distance and lack of physical intimacy obviously played a role in her feelings fading. These factors would have been a non-issue had I lived nearby during this time. 2) Does anyone have experience with rekindling a once LDR when an ex moves back to the area? This is obviously what I want to do. I'm doing NC to heal and improve myself, as the breakup took a toll on my psyche, but I want her back. Many thanks!
