What was your reason to do it if I may ask, was it only the size of your breasts you weren't content about?

Size and shape and how I filled out (or not) my clothes. I'd been joking since I was 16 about wanting to get them, so once I had the means and the knowledge, I went for it with the best surgeon in town. I don't regret it at all. :)

Good thought that's the good part, I don't get why people judge others so harshly for wanting to change their apperance its not something I would ever do but for others as long as it isn't hurting other people I could care less.

As long as you don't regret it that is the good part!!

I am hijacking this thread but what are guys thoughts on makeup??

I'm practically a guy (just kidding!), so I'll take a stab at this...

I wear little or none most days. A little mascara and some lip gloss is about it.

I 'work' not to need it... meaning, if my skin is looking blotchy, broken out, etc, that means it time to change my diet, drink more water, get more exercise, hang out in the sauna, etc.

Kind of use the same approach to my hair. Not a ton of styling or goop. Just healthy and shiny (it is nearly down to my waist now!).

The fun part is that when I do get all dolled up, people REALLY notice, which is pretty cool.

One might ask... why not do it every day??

I guess I have better things to do :) Plus anyone I'd meet is going to see me like this (without makeup) more often than the other way, so might as well make sure there is no 'false advertising'.

I wear mascara and either lipstain, or light lipstick. My hair is shorter now

That is actual the "look" makeup wise I wear a lot. For special occasions and what not I wear a little more but I agree about the skincare part. Mine is pretty darn good thanks to years of proper care lol!!

subjective and cultural, to an extent.

as for me, i don't like too much of it. it's not really an appearance thing, it's more of a functional thing. i like putting my hand on my gf's face when we kiss, and my hands are kinda rough especially around the thumbs so in man terms it'd be like i'm sanding that stuff off with my hand, and then neither of us would be happy

as a result my gf doesn't wear much when it's just the two of us going out to something non-formal. as TAL does, she just wears a little around the eyes and lip gloss, that's it.

but other than that i wouldn't tell a woman that she wore too much or too little, i think it's as much of a fashion thing as a personal preference. if she tends to dress more formally i would expect her to wear more, if she goes out to non formal things in less casual clothes i would expect not so much. personal preference, as long as it's not overdone either way.

I don't like lipgloss in most cases. EVERY single guy I've talked to as said they HATE the feel of it, I think it in most cases is super sticky. I usually wear lipbalm the little EOS ones that are the ball / easter egg shaped lipbalms! LOVE those things!!! Guys always find it funny because they don't expect it to be chapstick.

As I was reading this... I just put on this stuff that Nivea makes...

It is cherry tinted lip balm. Very similar to chapstick. Not gooey or shiny at all. It has just a hint of very sheer pink tint, so it makes my lips look, well, naturally rosy and soft.

Its great stuff.

Since I live in a cold climate, it is important for both men and women to put something on their lips here... especially in the winter.

Nothing worse than looking at someone with dry, cracked lips.

I'd say anywhere between none at all to light light make-up is fine.

How would you feel if I'd come colored as a clown to all our dates ? :p

The funny part is we girls, well most, have this awesome Jedi mind trick that we use to make you think we are wearing no makeup when infact it took more makeup and time to get that look. It is an ultimate mind f**k. And if I wear colorful makeup I don't look like a clown!

Sorry, had to show everyone how you look with makeup. :p

Also, I'm a long line descended of Jabba the Hutt, so I'm immune to Jedi mind tricks anyway ;)

Makeup is a nice thing. Highlights some spots, accentuates others, etc.

I've only seen men give flack when the girl is cakeing it on. Seen some girls who literally pile it on all the time and when you see photos they come off as fake.

If I was a girl and had notions that I might put on too much, I'd probably go pay a makeup artist to do my face, and then show me what I was doing wrong.

The worst is when you can see the line where their foundation stops!! I am glad that as soon as I started using makeup my mom took me straight to the makeup artist and said "teach her how to do it right" I avoided a lot of bad photos in middle and high school!

I just remember seeing a photo of Sammi "Sweetheart" Giancola (Jersey Shore) at the MTV VMAs. I must admit she looked great, but many pointed out how she probably went to a professional makeup artist to get her face done. They even compared that photo to shots of her in the initial promo shots for Jersey Shore when she did her own makeup.

What I personally noticed is in the initial promo shots, she had mascara caked on and other bad practices, while in the VMA photo she looked more natural with the makeup flattering features rather than covering up stuff.

Oh Jersey Shore, if ever there was a show that showed girls and guys what NOT do it it would be that!!! Who uses that much bronzer??? I mean I am 50% Italian and tan super easy but I rarely am tan because I don't sit out in the sun tanning because I personally would rather not worry about skin cancer and sun spots later. I am pale and honestly I don't mind being that way!! :p so many girls I know are orange and I will never understand how they look at themselves and think they look good, I want to scream that they look like an Ompa Loompa!!

1: Reconstructive surgery after removal is recommended. A good plastic surgeon can be researched on this procedure.

2: Here in the US , you sign a waiver in the event of any "after surgery" complications. Your insurance doesn't cover "elective" surgery on breast augmentation unless its warranted thru medical malformities. Mine was a genetic deformity so it paid partial yet it was made clear that any complications were my risk to take.

3: When getting mammograms advise the technician of the implants. They have sonar scanners that now work to detect miniscule detections of possible tumors. I had one done and luckily it was just a fatty tissue built up from the scar tissue.

4: its absolutely imparative that full knowledge of risks verses outcome for the patient be conveyed.

5: I personally do not "judge" on this decision other then to say I support a lady who makes an informed decision and chooses a qualified doctor if removal is her goal.

I wholeheartedly agree. The main point is simply on how if girls want to use makeup, they should learn how to use it right so it flatters them more.

Even with guys and their hair. They should watch how their hairstylist fixes it up so they can recreate it every time and thus get the most bang for their buck.

I won't date a woman who has them now or ever had them, unless she had them for medical reasons or was truly completely flat without them. A nasty symptom of a sick culture IMO.

Totally agree!! I can't tell you how many girls hair and makeup I did for dances through highshool and I still do some girls because they just never paid attention and remembered how to do it.

Thank you very much!!

The sonar scanners sounds promising! Can't wait for them to use this procedure in all mammograms and avoid the mash!

AGREE!! Thanks for letting me hijack your thread a little girly! I think if your friend or sister is going to have a baby it may, not will, make it harder to breast feed from what I have heard from a friend, not everyone does breast feed but it can make it harder. My friend also said they really don't look the same after and that she heard that most doctors don't recomend breast feeding if they have silicon implants.

Little bit of silicon to the baby is np. If it's a baby girl she'll grow up to have DD or even E!

If it's a baby boy maybe he'll end up with a 10inch tool. To big though, that's an over kill.

Haha well seeing as how my mom didn't ever have silicon I have no idea how I came to be!! Lol!! I know though that salmon eaten when pregnant or while breast feeding helps develop brain tissue faster so that is why I am so smart :D

My mother has an implant now herself. She had breast cancer and had to have one of her breasts completely removed. You can't tell me she's a lesser human being because of it. My father would have loved her just the same no matter what she decided, but it was devastating to her.

Did you not see the phrase "the choice" in my post???

Real is better and you really don't want them to be too big otherwise they stag downward. Should be perky up right and soft. I don't like the fake look in the breast or the behind you can get that done too.
