PhillyDude Posted September 1, 2011 Posted September 1, 2011 She was defensive from the start when we chatted on IM on plenty of fish and then it lead to a email exchange and I said..."she seems cool" Then I gave her my number to call me when she was free because she didn't want to give me her number. On top on her not wanting to give me HER NUMBER, she asked do I have a facebook page, um yes and I don't share my facebook with people I don't know" So tonight I decided to go online to see who was on there and then i get a instant message request from her on the site??-lol If we already talked on the site through IM and she has my number, why the hell would she want to chat with me on IM again when she can just call? And women say that MEN ONLINE ARE CRAZY???? I think not. She just turned me off a little
D-Lish Posted September 1, 2011 Posted September 1, 2011 How have your exchanges been otherwise? I get anxiety talking on the phone, I'm much better in person- so I actually arrange the first meeting through texting and/or e-mail. Has she been saying whacky thing otherwise?

I'd just make it clear you're not looking to get carpal tunnel from being somebody's online pen pal and move on.

The fact that we already chatted on POF and exchanged emails and yahoo messengers ID's, why would she ask to chat with me on that site since we already met?-lol We have 3 ways to communicate right now, email, yahoo messenger, and phone. So even if you do see me online why send me a IM or message? Now if a guy did that he would be creepy and have stalker potential.

If she seems defensive from the get go, maybe it's time to find another fish. If as soon as you log on she's contacting you- must mean she spends a lot of time on the site.
