Now I'm doing a little better on getting over my ex and I know I can do better. My ex is in 3 of my classes this year which doesn't help but anyway... I'm a senior in high school and I'm pretty interested in this really pretty girl who's in the grade below me. I've gone to the same parties as her and stuff but never really talked to her. I also go to the same gym as her and have only made eye contact a couple times. I really want to get to know her and stuff but I never get much of an opportunity. How weird would it be if I texted her randomly saying something? (She has my #, I drunk texted her accidentally a few months ago and I told apologized and said who it was a long time ago) and honestly the fact that I'm in the grade above her would probably make it easier for me. What are some things I can do to make a move forward to her? Thanks for your responses!!
smudge21 Posted August 31, 2011 Posted August 31, 2011 Scrap the technology and do it old fashioned style - talk to her, face to face. People have been doing it that way for centuries without many problems (although the stone age way of clubbing her over the head and dragging her back to your cave is always a good option to have in your back pocket). You say you see her occasionally and the gym is always a good place to have a conversation or two, maybe during a drink after a workout. Don't make it obvious though, just be polite at first, the occasional hello as you pass by. Build it up slowly so you can see if she's interested, rather than just steaming in. There is nothing wrong with approaching anyone and being polite, chatting and then suggesting a drink. If she says no thanks, then fair enough, so no problem and back off... but continue to be friendly.
