I forget nothing. I leave out lesser relevancies to shorten a post so that I get read.

Understanding that women have equal say in how they're viewed/treated is no small point. Take that into consideration and it becomes immaterial how some men view or treat women (thanks to porn) and the seriousness of your premise weakens to the point where it becomes a non-issue. Those women how allow themselves to be treated as less than whole beings - they have issues that supersede anything porn can throw up.

I've never found it to be a permanent problem--

That's also a good point, these ED pron addicts are likely outliers, similar in frequency to women who go totally frigid after marriage. As a rallying cry against porn, or for regulating porn, the thread topic isn't really a goer. A few guys get ED from drinking too much and a host of other reasons, have even heard of ED from styrofoam cups, certain shampoos, lots of prescription meds, they are mostly outliers.

I don't carry around statistics with me, but I've seen several studies that suggest the presence of stds in most sexually active people. There must be a reason for condoms selling so much(beyond the double security) and govts wanting to give the HPV vaccine to young girls.

I know several guys who have too much to lose if they have sex for free, and they test the courtesans quite frequently. It does make sense. How many guys and gals in relationships ask their SO to get periodically tested?

Prostitutes are far more risky partners than your average single person. People should be using condoms with anyone they have sex with if they are not sure what that person's sexual history is, but a condom is not complete protection from getting STDs. Condoms can break, they can leak, they can get small tears (sometimes microscopic) that can allow STDs to be transmitted. Having sex with someone that has multiple partners a night is way too high risk of an activity. I also read that some STDs can be transmitted just by close skin to skin contact, even while using an intact condom. Very high risk behavior if you're doing it with someone that is or has been permiscuous. And when you consider how many partners a prostitute has between those times that they get tested, and a lot of STDs are not detectable until six months after exposure, you can never assume that a permiscuous person is safe. Prostitutes can never be considered safe, even with a condom on.

Not sure that's true, prostitutes of all but the lowest classes, get tested regularly and insist on protection every time. Drunk single people having impulsive sex with strangers don't.

I'd agree they may be outliers in the sense that they are some of the worst-case outcomes, along with those whose relationships break up over it. However, that doesn't mean that the large proportion of men who don't actually get ED or have others large problems are in the clear. They may still suffer from reduced satisfaction in relationships, reduced emotional bonding to a real woman, and other such issues.

I look at porn as something like eating a supersize big Mac, fries, and a large ice cream sundae. It is pleasurable, but unhealthy. It is addictive at least as much as eating those high-fat foods, just like anything that is both very easy and pleasurable. Some people seem to find it significantly more addictive than that. Once in a while it probably won't hurt you too bad, but if you do it a lot you could get heart disease and/or get fat.

No one here is talking about banning or regulating porn, if that were even possible. I brought it up simply because I do think it's really not that healthy or good for you.

Yes. Low-level prostittutes are far more likely to have stds than your typical high quality courtesan. It wouldn't make any sense otherwise. I've met highly successful men who aren't married(or married, but she's only putting out for the pool boy) who recommend x courtesan to their friends.

The man are at the top of their careers. They would not risk catching stds. Too smart for that.
