mmiller5373 Posted August 28, 2011 Posted August 28, 2011 Alright, so I've been dating for the past several months and I have yet to find a girl that I've actually been interested in. I've done the online dating thing and had some friends try setting me up. Nobody wowed me. About two weeks ago, I went to a hair salon that a friend referred me to. My hair stylist, we'll call her Jess, was a beautiful Christian woman a few years older than me. We hit it off. There was chemistry and she kept telling me I was really attractive. She said over and over that I looked like Jon Bon Jovi, and she even pointed out my attractiveness to the other hair stylists there. I left the hair salon and when I got home, I couldn't stop thinking about Jess. So I called up there and got her on the phone. I asked her what she was doing later that night, to which she replied she was going to church with some of her girlfriends. I asked her what her schedule was like that week, to which she replied she wasn't sure yet because she just moved and she was pretty busy. She asked, "Are you asking me out?" I said, "yes, I'd like to take you out." She seemed really happy so she gave me her number and told me to text her a little later so we could setup a night to hang. She ended the conversation by saying "Thank you for calling back up here. I'm so glad that you did. Talk to you soon." I text her later that night. No response. 24 hours later I get a text saying, "I have to tell you that I just broke off my engagement 3 weeks ago and I'm not ready to date." I reply with a message basically saying that I'm sorry to hear that and that I don't want to pressure her, but I'd still like to take her out. Two days later, I get a random message saying, "It's nice to have a guy make you feel attractive and sexy." We message back and forth a bit more, talking about breakups. I mention that I went through a bad breakup a year ago and that If she needs someone to talk to, I'm here. Never heard back from her. That was two weeks ago. Is this a dead end? Would it be a bad idea to go get my hair cut up there again in a few weeks/months?
