ThsAmericanLife Posted August 28, 2011 Posted August 28, 2011 With Hurricane Irene making its way up the Eastern coast of the US, I thought I'd ask what you like to do, or would do with your sweetie on days where you have no choice but be indoors... Besides just sex, of course. That's too easy. For me, it might be staying in bed most of the day... talking, drinking coffee, interspersed with sex, napping/cuddling, more sex. A nice massage perhaps. Invite all the critters on the bed... dogs, cats, the whole menagerie for a communal nap. Then, later, get up and cook something yummy. Together. Open a bottle of wine. Head out to the porch and watch the unfolding storm in the dark... or simply enjoy the peace of NO traffic/cars/people... and the night sound of bugs/birds starting to return and get back to normal after the storm. That is what I would do...

That is what I would do... If I'm with my special someone then just leg locked together on the couch or bed listening to the storm and talking and laughing. With the kids some pizza and board games and then maybe a spooky movie all while camped out on the floor in the basement. By myself it would be the perfect time to do some writing

The nice thing about inclement weather is that it gives everyone an excuse to avoid errands and be completely unproductive. Which (hopefully) = lots of affection. Package it up in any way one finds appealing.

Hanging out on the porch watching the storm come in sounds like a good time too If the power's still on but the storm rages on outside, it's all about movies, drinks, and even more cuddling

Then we strapped on our galoshes and went puddle jumping! Then more food, and more sex... in that order. We then bid each other adieu All in all, one of the best Sundays Ive had in a while!
Author ThsAmericanLife Posted August 29, 2011 Author Posted August 29, 2011 Really enjoyed reading everyone's ideas... over the years, I've observed that people who grow up in warmer climates seem to be more into outdoor activities. Which is probably a no-brainer... My relatives in Iowa all have a bunch of board games and play cards regularly. So do my friends who come from other cold climates. Alot of them have become quite good at chess, poker, etc. My friends from points further South?? Almost none of them know any board or card games. Like me

I love ping pong, although almost noone has one in their house. One of my relatives has a pool table too... the ones who live in Iowa.
