somedude81 Posted August 28, 2011 Posted August 28, 2011 Why can't you find a "hottie" who is 5'3 180-220ish lbsHa ha ha ha ha! :lmao::lmao: Women don't have to spend 5-10 hrs a week working out to not become obese.
Author AHardDaysNight Posted August 28, 2011 Author Posted August 28, 2011 Ha ha ha ha ha! :lmao::lmao: Women don't have to spend 5-10 hrs a week working out to not become obese. Well said. My guess is beachgirl is a cute blond, probably 19-23 years of age, who is tanned and skinny.
Beachgirl8 Posted August 28, 2011 Posted August 28, 2011 I'm digging myself into a hole here I can see.. I'm about to be attacked from all angles but this is a topic I'm passionate about so here goes... 1. There are plenty of women on this planet who aren't thin but are beautiful, smart, funny and loving 2. Unless you are blessed with a high metabolism and are genetically superior to the average person, it DOES take 5-10 hrs a week of effort between working out and being conscious of/ planning to eat healthy and executing that plan to stay fit for the average American woman. In some other countries with more active lifestyles and more walking it might take less effort but that's how it is here. 3. Same for guys. If you want to be considered fit/ attractive/ healthy- get thee to a gym and put down the french fries and beer. Cancel cable tv and a gym membership is suddenly affordable. If you aren't willing to do all of these things then don't complain and love up on the many available, beautiful women who are out there and want you, and leave the "hotties" as you call them, alone.
Beachgirl8 Posted August 28, 2011 Posted August 28, 2011 I'm in my 30's. I have a child that is in high school and i have a college degree. My hair color is irrelevant. I fight to stay in shape every day because it's important to me. I want to be healthy AND attractive to the opposite sex. You can do whatever you want but don't hate on people who are "hot"-most of us work at it. Where can you meet hot, intelligent women? At the gym between 6-8 after work on weekdays.
Beachgirl8 Posted August 28, 2011 Posted August 28, 2011 MrNate! Omg. define "hot"! I'll bet your definition is more reasonable than the OP's. He just irritated me with his talk of "settling" for women that put the same amount of effort into their bodies as him.
Cracker Jack Posted August 28, 2011 Posted August 28, 2011 You know what, Beachgirl? You silly, shallow, ignorant know it all..... I agree with you completely in this topic. Spot on.
Beachgirl8 Posted August 28, 2011 Posted August 28, 2011 Oh nevermind. Someone said something about m&m's... Yummm
carhill Posted August 28, 2011 Posted August 28, 2011 I'm digging myself into a hole here I can see.. I'm about to be attacked from all angles but this is a topic I'm passionate about so here goes... No flames from me. That said, having walked that path in my 20's and 30's, especially while an active endurance cyclist, it made not one whit of difference regarding 'attractiveness'. IOW, women weren't succumbing to my svelte body nor friendly demeanor any more than prior or since. The single largest change in that area was from experience gained by traveling the world. Living in Cali, and spending a fair amount of time at the beach, I can see your perspective. It makes sense, here anyway.
superdub Posted August 28, 2011 Posted August 28, 2011 Of course my definition of hot is more reasonable. The term "hot" is simply defined by me rubbing a warm mixture of butter and sugar on my chest and nipples. With a chocolate bar in my mouth. And giving you a complimentary photo, of course for your nightstand. Can I just say that I love My-Little-Pony?
Beachgirl8 Posted August 28, 2011 Posted August 28, 2011 Eeewww. But lol. I was initially trying to be sincere but I'm all for sarcastic humor. Bring it! I'd prefer gummy bears anyway.
superdub Posted August 28, 2011 Posted August 28, 2011 Also, the whole idea that people can't be lazy sometimes (maybe less beer and french fries) and balance it with a potentially fitter lifestyle is ludicrous. I jump back and forth during the year. But, yeah, the OP may need to buff it out a little overall, but from the writing he's got about himself going, he needs to have a chat with the mirror and boost his junk up.
Author AHardDaysNight Posted August 28, 2011 Author Posted August 28, 2011 I have taken this into consideration. I will do the following in order to get into shape: A.) Cut down my internet time to 2-3 hrs per day B.) Do pushups, situps, yoga, and jumping jacks every morning and evening C.) Go for a walk for 45 mins every day D.) Cut out soda, beer, and coffee creamer E.) Cut out the fast food My goal is to lose at least 10 pounds in 3 months. Hopefully I will achieve my goal.
USMCHokie Posted August 28, 2011 Posted August 28, 2011 Living in Cali, and spending a fair amount of time at the beach, I can see your perspective. It makes sense, here anyway. Now I'm getting more and more afraid of moving to Cali...

That's obese. She is not beautiful. A woman will not become obese just because she doesn't work out. All she has to do is make sure that she doesn't eat more calories than she can burn in a day.

You will become frustrated with the lack of results, say f*ck it, and go back to your old ways. Join a gym, get some books, get a trainer if you need to, and do work. It will pay off.

Might want to outline a little tighter diet regimen ahead of time so this will work. Also, women like buff dudes, not skinny ones. You get all Michael-Stipish on us and you will be just as lonely as you are now.
superdub Posted August 28, 2011 Posted August 28, 2011 This pony appreciates the love. And Beach Girl definitely needs your photo for the nightstand. I think AHardDaddysNight might need it to get fired up as well. Beachgirl is a smoking hot mamacita, FYI.
Beachgirl8 Posted August 28, 2011 Posted August 28, 2011 Ok I'll be serious again. OP that is a good reasonable goal. the point of putting effort into nutrition and working out is not to become physically perfect- there are a lot of fringe benefits that you can obtain from a healthy, positive regimen. Nobody is perfect. But by increasing muscle mass and Improving your cardio function and eating healthy- a positive outlook and confidence will develop which are essential to attracting people. Friends, girlfriends, whatever- when you take care of yourself people will notice and you will feel better in general.
Cypress25 Posted August 28, 2011 Posted August 28, 2011 Might want to outline a little tighter diet regimen ahead of time so this will work. I disagree, there's nothing wrong with starting slow. In fact, that's the best way to do it. If you try to make too many dramatic changes to your eating habits all at once, you won't be able to stick to it. The most effective method is to make small, manageable changes. The OP has tried strict diets before and they were unsuccessful. That's the reason most diets fail; they're impossible to maintain.
Beachgirl8 Posted August 28, 2011 Posted August 28, 2011 Diets don't fail. People lose motivation and revert to being complacent. Find something reasonable you can stick to. It will be a little uncomfortable but change ALWAYS is. Do it or don't do it.

The OP has tried strict diets before and they were unsuccessful. That's the reason most diets fail; they're impossible to maintain. I guess what I am saying by tighter diet is less about say Atkins Diet, or the coffee-and-apples Machinist diet. It's more about saying: I am going to eat and I am going to eat healthy versions of things. For instance: Someone who eats A BigMac meal at lunch every day, but suddenly decides they are going to eat a ground lean beef pattie (grilled at home) every day with no bun (or two) and some good fresh veggies on the side is going to see a difference over that BigMac meal. Dropping the coke (even diet) from the meal in exchange for a glass or two of water makes a difference. Each thing you set for yourself is backed up by the actions that surround it. Jumping into that routine is as bad as going on a "strict" diet. It's not slow. Also, when I say diet, I speak less of weight loss and more of dietary intake. And the loss from starvation-mode dieting is temporary. Edited August 28, 2011 by superdub Cuz

Just out of curiosity- why would the woman I described WANT to eat less and make sacrifices if her only option is a guy with a beer gut who refuses to make the same sacrifices?
