loverboy1984 Posted August 27, 2011 Posted August 27, 2011 I just got Natrol 5HTP supplements in 100mg and just wanted to know if anyone has used them and if they have notice a change in mood, weight, and other things. Also how much do you take daily and have you experienced any side effects? thanks!
dreamingoftigers Posted August 27, 2011 Posted August 27, 2011 I would be most interested to know this as well!
Feelin Frisky Posted August 27, 2011 Posted August 27, 2011 I have taken it for a long time. I already use Prozac and 5-Http seems to help. I can't say how it is by iself though.

My doc told me to try it after i got home from afghanistan, for sleep. did nothing for me, but they had cut me off cold turkey from ambien. perhaps that had a lot to do with it. i don't know.

That can be a very tough kick. I've seen some information about us troops being liberally prescribed Ambien while deployed over there. That is an insane drug to take for anything other than planned sleep. I have sleep walked and done things that I had no recollection of--not-the-least-of-which was taking the rest of the prescription on two occasions. I took one and the next day I found a half of one on the ground and the other eleven and a half had been consumed by me. I had my suspicions that perhaps Heath Ledger may have had the same thing happen--compulsive use of the product while unconscious yet on one's feet. I wonder if there will be more info out about the military's use and possible results in the field.
