For more information, see this thread: http://www.loveshack.org/forums/t293165/ In the last week or so, the person in question and I have been chatting through the Facebook IM. We connected, had a lot of chats about all kinds of things. I admitted in a previous thread that I have a lot of insecurities about things. But someone said, more or less, "go for it, what do you have to loose?" Well ... In the chats we'd had, last night he asked for my phone number which I gave to him. When I saw him last summer, he had his arm in a sling and said he had just had surgery. Found out why. Ten years ago, he was in a car accident and had is left arm ripped off and reattached. He's had several surgeries over the years to keep the use of his arm. Then he asked me if I had a car. (Red Flag 1) I said I did, asked if he did. He does have one, but he can't drive one right now. Why can't he? Court order. I asked if it was a DUI, he said it was. (Red Flag 2) Now before anyone says I am judging the situation, then he made a comment that lead to Red Flag 3. He said "Well once I get out of jail." I said "You're in jail RIGHT NOW as we speak?!" He said no but he would probably be going in a few months. I didn't ask why. Christ Almighty ... So much for taking a chance.
