SheLovesPurple Posted August 25, 2011 Posted August 25, 2011 my boyfriend and I have been together for 3 years. Our realationship technically has always been long distance. He lived in the next city over. Took me about an hour and a half to get there but I could see him when I wanted. It didn't even take a half a tank of gas to get there. NOW he's moved to a differnt state to go to college and I can't see him when I want. It takes between 4 and 6 hours to get there and my car is a bucket. I haven't been out to see him yet he's been there 2 weeks already I'm crying a lot I guess I'm not coping very well with him being that far away yet. I do trust him but I miss him and its just really hard to not see him we talk everyday but it is not the same. I don't know how people cope with this I'm a mess!
Audrina Posted August 25, 2011 Posted August 25, 2011 I'm in a long distance relationship and I've gotta say, it's really hard. Usually after I've just seen him, it's the worst. I miss him the most and it lasts for weeks. It's a hard road and not for everyone, but when you the love the other person enough try to think of it as a temporary situation. Make plans for when you'll be together next and let yourself get excited about them. Focus on what's to come, not what you're missing now.
Author SheLovesPurple Posted August 26, 2011 Author Posted August 26, 2011 Yes you are right it is very hard, but I like the way you put it. Focusing on the good things to come are way better than sulking about not seeing him right now. I still miss him all the time though.
