I've read several posts about red flags and deal breakers, different dating styles such as asking for exclusivity to be a BF and getting regretted. Although dating is a bit of a dance, I also get the sense that at some point one must start to communicate what one wants even if gently.

How many of you though have had the strength to really walk away and even better tell the other person so rather than just hang around hoping they will like you more.

I'm not talking about someone you don't really like, but I mean in situation where you really fell for them or are getting very infatuated, but you are getting played (or think you are), or there is just some big red flag and yet you are completely sexually attracted to them, or are emotionally tied to them.

And for those that do, does it make you feel strong or depressed and sad?
