123BeachFan Posted August 22, 2011 Posted August 22, 2011 (edited) I broke up with my BF two weeks ago, after finding out he had recently posted a profile on AdultFriendFinder website. We dated 1 1/2 years, and we had an issue before about him getting on POF, but he promised to never do it again and I thought it was behind us. Well...two weeks ago when I confronted him we had a nasty phone conversation where he denied vehemently (despite my very solid evidence). Since then we've been NC aside from the two emails that I've asked for my stuff back. He's ignored them. My question is this...I really would like my things back that were at his house. If it were insignificant items, I'd just call it collateral damage. In hindsight, I should have gotten my things BEFORE I confronted him. But I've got about $2,000 in camera and electronic equipment there. Any suggestion on how to get my stuff back? I had suggested in the email that he leave the items by his garage door at a set time. But I'd just like to get my stuff without any further drama and then scratch him out of my life completely. I don't have a key, and he doesn't have a roommate. Edited August 22, 2011 by 123BeachFan
PegNosePete Posted August 22, 2011 Posted August 22, 2011 If you email or text him, he can easily just ignore it. Call him up and say you want your stuff back and when is a good time for you to collect it. No need to over-complicate. Just stay businesslike and get the job done.
Author 123BeachFan Posted August 23, 2011 Author Posted August 23, 2011 Well, I tried calling yesterday, and he let it go to voicemail. I left a message - direct, to the point. And he didn't reply. So after having tried email, text, and phone I guess I can't force him to acknowledge, and maybe I just need to give up seeing my stuff again.
cowboysmavs Posted August 23, 2011 Posted August 23, 2011 If its getting that nasty to where he won't even give you YOUR stuff back can't you just call the cops or tell him thats what you plan on doing. I don't know the laws but I'm pretty sure he has no right to the stuff you left over there. Thats just childish of him not to give it back.
Author 123BeachFan Posted August 23, 2011 Author Posted August 23, 2011 I wouldn't want to really call the cops, because if his daughters happen to be there when I arrive at the front door with the police, the girls will be very upset. But then again, he would not want that to occur either. Maybe I just give him another couple of weeks, try again nicely and if that doesn't work, I threaten with the police.
