irc333 Posted August 21, 2011 Posted August 21, 2011 I had noticed something lately with women who had been attracted to me...it's mostly been artistic women, you know, those who paint , craft, kind of earthy. They see the inner beauty more so than the outer beauty? There was this woman I had emailed online, drop dead gorgeous and tall, however, she did reply to me, and was quite interested. Kind of threw me for a loop, because usually really pretty women hardly ever respond. Then when I was talking to her, she mentioned being a vegetarian and an artist. So, are people who are artists less obsessed with looks?

We are attracted to "average Joes" because they complement our nature and help ground us. We do look at the inner beauty and more complex nature of a whole package. Our minds our expansive and we often have multiple trains of thought; what we are seeing/how we are internally reacting to what we are seeing, what we are feeling/how we are internally reacting to what we are feeling, what our partner is experience/how our partner is internalizing what they are feeling, what our partner is thinking about US/how to react to what our partner is feeling about us.... You get the picture. It is hard and complicated to be involved with people like us and it takes a special person to have the patience to deal with our complexities. Many can't but those who can are often rewarded with enthralling and exciting relationships.

I want to understand the nature of reality and humanity, not the shiny veneer. I don't care how good-looking a guy is -- if his interior qualities are lacking, I'm not attracted. And he can be average in appearance, but if he runs deep and has sterling interior qualities, he will get me swooning. I think creative people are also excellent lovers. Pretty much every lover I've had (even my current casual lover) has told me the sex has never been better, and elaborated at length on why. The other night, after flying to the moon, he said, "No woman has ever made me SHAKE before."

Actually, being a bit deeper and more emotional about things and experiences hasn't done me any favors to be honest. I have a creative side, but not many seem to really care about it or notice it. I guess I just figured they like 'em all big and dumb (but with money).
