Three months have gone by and my SO left last night, for the time being I seem a bit missing him but mostly level headed cried a little but not a lot yet, haven't seem to gone into that "omg wow he's gone stage" yet.

We had a great visit, some very cool times...we did have some spats it can be hard to live with someone who's never lived anywhere but home with family so sometimes we butted heads on how stuff should be done, those times were stressful but over.

Still together still in love, no idea where to go from here personally I feel now like I wish to stay LD for quite a few more years and see him live on his own or with a friend completely before we do the whole together forever bit.

I had a birthday on the 17th I am 25 now him still 21.

Anyway hey guys.

I'm glad you had a good visit Omei!

I can tell you, it doesn't get any easier, even if they live on their own or with friends. My husband lived on his own for 5 years in Montreal(which was 8 hours from his parents) and when he moved to the US I STILL had to have the "I'm not your mommy, I don't do everything the way she does!" conversation with him too many times to count. We've been married for over a year and I find myself still having to say that. But on the upside, he did learn that the way I peel a boiled egg is way better than hers and even tried to teach her how I do it. A small victory for wives everywhere, but I'll take it!

Welcome back Omei :)

I'm glad you had such a good time with your boyfriend.

Re wanting him to live on his own for several years - beware! You'll have both his mother's ways and his newly independent ways to contend with.

Trust me - two highly independent individuals living together for the first time is always a challenge - and the longer you've both been alone, the harder it gets! ;):D
