paddington bear Posted August 19, 2011 Posted August 19, 2011 So, terms of endearment: hi honey, sweetie, darling, If you're friends with a guy and suddenly he starts to call you honey or darling, does this signify some shift in his intentions towards you? Or am I doing the typical female thing of reading waaay too much into small, insignificant things and it's just that he feels comfortable being around you and is being friendly, the female equivalent of 'hey buddy' or whatever.

However...an ex of mine did call every female friend of his "darling" - but he was from Texas and I think this is common there. I would say that if it's a change in behavior for him, it probably means something, but only he knows what it means.
