Professor X Posted August 19, 2011 Posted August 19, 2011 LOL vsmini u sound like my friend. She always asks me why Im on LS w/ it & yada yada but its a cool place to see what ppl think on stuff & feel whats right & wrong. Anyway I was interested in him at first cause he was cute & he impressed me w/ my dog & my dog dont always run up to ppl. Sometimes my dog is scared & hides behind me but he was happy around this guy so I felt kinda good about it but now Im annoyed that he wants to take me out so bad! Oh wow, you're quite the selfish person, aren't you? (rhetoric, don't answer) Congrats on the title (sarcasm). I'm so glad I'm not dating 16yo chicks anymore

Easyguy14 Posted August 19, 2011 Posted August 19, 2011 Oh wow, you're quite the selfish person, aren't you? (rhetoric, don't answer) Congrats on the title (sarcasm). I'm so glad I'm not dating 16yo chicks anymore I believe she's 19 but still very young so not too far off from the frame of mind a 16 yr old girl would have. sweetheart its clear you relished for this guy's attention and now that he's giving you too much of it, you're turned off from him? Im not surprised by this. I also think you wont bother to call or text him since he's doing all of it for you. who's next to string along?
serial muse Posted August 19, 2011 Posted August 19, 2011 You know what, thank goodness for posters like sweetheartt and the like, those who think it is OK to flake on people and who don't get how rude it is. Seriously. They don't cause us harm, because we don't actually interact with them in real life (probably). They are instead giving us benefit, because from their posts they are giving us real insight into what mindset they and the other flakers (whom we are coming across) have. And as a single guy, I am equally thankful for posters like smitten, Queen Zenobia, and vsmini, who seem to live by the Golden Rule. It's so refreshing to run into a girl who thinks as these three seem to think. To answer the OP sweetheartt's question, yes what you did was extremely rude. sniff, you left me out
Author Sweetheartt Posted August 19, 2011 Author Posted August 19, 2011 You're annoyed why, exactly? Because he keeps texting thats why & I already said maybe next week so he should wait til like a few days before & try again. Every guy I give a chance to does this kind of **** & they wonder why girls cancel? W/e!
Imajerk17 Posted August 19, 2011 Posted August 19, 2011 sniff, you left me out Sorry! The above 3 have all responded to my threads. I'm sure you're a nifty person too....
serial muse Posted August 19, 2011 Posted August 19, 2011 Because he keeps texting thats why & I already said maybe next week so he should wait til like a few days before & try again. Every guy I give a chance to does this kind of **** & they wonder why girls cancel? W/e! Look, nobody enjoys being left in limbo. Why don't you just respond to him and say "you're coming on too strong for me. I'm not interested in going out with you now"? That's the truth, after all. At least he would know what's going on. Someone's going to throw you in limbo someday and you are NOT going to like it. But maybe you'll have more empathy.
Chocolat Posted August 19, 2011 Posted August 19, 2011 If you don't think you did anything wrong, why are you even posting this here? You KNOW you were rude & you are just looking for someone, anyone to agree with you so you can justify your poor behavior. This. So you accepted the date b/c of your dog? Because he keeps texting thats why & I already said maybe next week so he should wait til like a few days before & try again. Every guy I give a chance to does this kind of **** & they wonder why girls cancel? W/e! This is circular. You cancelled before he texted "too much" so you can't use his texting as an excuse for your rudeness. And, frankly, even if he had texted too much before you cancelled, the way to handle it is to let him know that you are not interested in dating him. Accepting a date and then cancelling b/c you got a better offer is beyond rude. Threads like this make me so happy I am not single!
proactivedreamer Posted August 19, 2011 Posted August 19, 2011 Because he keeps texting thats why & I already said maybe next week so he should wait til like a few days before & try again. Every guy I give a chance to does this kind of **** & they wonder why girls cancel? W/e! That would annoy me a bit too. I had a few guys do that to me as well, and I was really turned off by it. I think a man would feel the same way if it was in reverse.
sally4sara Posted August 19, 2011 Posted August 19, 2011 I told him sorry gee. Cant I change my mind? Im not obligated to go on a date w/ him since I wasnt the one planning it & its not that serious its to the movies not puerto rico lol. Maybe next week Im gonna feel different. And why does he have to text me back the next day? Its so soon & didnt I speak to him yesterday already? Why do guys always do this? Why do they do what? Expect you to say what you mean and mean what you say? Well dear its because that's what considerate grown up people do. Has it ever dawned on you that when you say yes to plans with someone, they might have to turn down offers afterwards from other girls or friends for the same time slot BECAUSE they already agreed to do something with you?
Easyguy14 Posted August 19, 2011 Posted August 19, 2011 the op is young and probably hasn't dated much at 19. may I ask just how many boyfriends you've had up to this point sweetheart? I already know it that you asked out and stared at quite a bit from what you say in all your other threads.
vsmini Posted August 19, 2011 Posted August 19, 2011 Because he keeps texting thats why & I already said maybe next week so he should wait til like a few days before & try again. Every guy I give a chance to does this kind of **** & they wonder why girls cancel? W/e! HAHA yea. You really have him a chance. Arrogant.

Thank you and I'm also thankful because it's the very girls that flake out on guys and have little respect for others that go out there and fall for the jerks that treat them like crap because they soak up validation like a sponge. Keep them off the streets I say.

Thanks - I can be quite rude though. I'm here in NY but by way of the midwest. Maybe that is what accounts for the sweet and sour attitude

He hasnt txt back so maybe he got the msg now?

I think it would've save a lot of face because the excuse you're using is probably what he gets all the time and he'll probably feel less respect for you. maybe in a few more years you'll mature a little more sweetheart. you're not a bad girl. I think you need to work out some personal kinks for starters.

phineas Posted August 20, 2011 Posted August 20, 2011 HAHA yea. You really have him a chance. Arrogant. 20yrs from now when she's got a kid or two & still single it'll be guys who give her a chance. I say this because girls like her really don't ever change. I knew them in HS & 20yrs later...their still the same way.
