Jayhawkfl Posted August 19, 2011 Posted August 19, 2011 I'm at a lose...she's a really sweet girl I like her and she's going trough some tough times right now but my god in heaven I'm not sure if she's brushed her teeth since we dated three years ago...I'm not sure how to tell her that I'd like to make this work but she's gotta take better care of herself.

SO you haven't been dating for 3 years, you actually dated 3 years ago- and just hooked up again recently??? I'm confused. Personally I couldn't have sex with someone with bad teeth- that's my number one dealbreaker.

Because if it's just the yellow that is bothering you, then you could propose to get a whitening treatment together with her at a clinic/dentist. These days there are laser treatments that can whiten teeth without damaging them, as opposed to bleaching, which corrodes away the outer layer of the teeth. I've read that the green laser treatment for whitening teeth is the least damaging method for whitening teeth. As you are the one who has a problem with it, I recommend you to pay for the treatment(s). By doing it together you put less of an emphasis on her being singled out as the one that needs to whiten her teeth. That being said, mere brushing isn't going to whiten teeth by a whole lot, as the yellow is not just on the surface of the teeth but also inside the teeth, a brush and toothpaste can't reach the inside of teeth, however lasers and bleach are able to penetrate into the core of the teeth.
