So, after a very messy breakup, my ex added me out of nowhere on facebook. he said nothing at first until i messaged him.

here is the conversation:

me :

I have the jacket that helen got you for christmas...

not much of an ice breaker I know. lol

...so, hope ur well. just like you to add me then say nothing haha

ex:

Lol that's me haha

I got that new top you bought as well lol forgot about that jacket.

I wanted to break ice lol addin you was my olive branch lmao but yeh I wanna say I'm sorry for how things ended and how I handled or refused to handle should I say lol but yeh I hope we can be friends x

me:

Yea I'm sorry for the whole mad person lash out. When you feel you want to ya can collect ya jacket

and if its okay, I'd just rather not be friends on facebook for a while if you know what I mean, good to see your well though

you have my number though if you want me for anything x

ex:

Lol its okay don't worry about it add me when your ready lol

and yeh my hours have been cut down now so will let you know although I haven't got your number saved lol x

me:

************ (my number)

take care hope the dogs ok

<end of chat>

from the way my ex is talking, does it look like they want anything. i deleted them, and they haven't text me.

i really still love my ex what / how should i act?

He feels guilty for what an ass he was and wants to return your shirt.

Kudos for not adding him.

thanks - no obvious feelings there then?

Well...he added you, so he must have been thinking of you, though it's hard to say in what context. For now, I'd assume he just wants to be friends, and it was smart of you to turn him down.

no he doesnt want anything., thats a very friendly conversation

Maybe he was just being nice, or maybe he's realised he's lonely without you. If it's too tough for you don't be in contact but if you really want him back contact him the odd time and see if he reciprocates. Give HIM a bit of hope then pull back slightly (and repeat). Make him chase you, men love chasing. I'm a man and I know if a girl makes me chase I want her 1,000 times more!

PS, will ya take a look at my post entitled "she stopped texting"
