On small d!cks it just looks like a shriveled sausage so if you have a small one then get it cut. Of course my opinion may not be that reliable given that I am a straight male.

I would definitely expect him to tell me in the U.S. (since it's rare in my generation, and I would expect it'd have come up with his other GFs and he'd know that it might be an issue) before we ever had sex, and it might be a dealbreaker. It isn't "unclean" or "nasty." it isn't like having a unibrow. It's just a nice little protector for the most sensitive part of his penis. I am glad that fewer parents are circumcising their sons. I think it is really unfair to them not to have that choice.

Oh, I totally agree with it not being the girl's choice for the OP. But I think it's a parent's choice, just like any medical decision. (And I think there's also sanitation to consider, though more for kids. The OP has hopefully grown into a phase where he knows how to keep himself clean easily.) I wouldn't want to put my son in a situation where he wishes he was circumcised later and would need a more painful procedure. And I've never heard a guy regret he WAS circumcised, but I've read posts and such of guys who wished they were because they got reactions similar to the OP's girl.

My brother is a very weird case regarding this actually. He was not circumsized at birth (or a week or whatever). Later, upon the diagnosis of rather severe autism my parents were informed that he might not be able to keep himself clean down there, so at the ago of six, they had him circumsized. The risks were so minimal for infection, it just seemed like such a waste of time and energy. Period. There appears to be no real advantage really I am surprised that this practice actually made it as far as 2000 years since the church disbanded with it being a requirement. So strange. My h has never had any kind of infection of what have you down there and he was homeless for about 10 years. Jeez, when I met him he hadn't showered in about 3 months (Let's just say that the sparks weren't 'instant' LOL). he kinda smelled like feta cheese and we didn't exactly date until he was cleaned up and well, didn't smell like feta cheese. It's just odd. That's all really, just odd. And yes the vast majority of them that I have encountered were cut, only one other wasn't.

When erect, the skin rolls back anyway and there's barely any visual difference. I once had a guy friend who was circumcised in his middle 20s because of peer pressure. Several years later, he HATED it and wished he had never done it because he lost a lot of sensitivity. He stated many, many times, the drawbacks vastly outweighed any perceived benefits. Just food for thought.

Parents have the right to make medical decisions for their children. If you waited until the kid was old enough to decide for himself, it would be a very painful procedure at that age. I've never met a circumcised man who was upset about it. It makes no difference to them, one way or the other. The only people who care are the women who have to look at it! An uncut penis looks like it's in a sleeping bag, lol.

Getting a circumcision has played on my mind for a while now, and my relationship with this woman has only given me a different motivation for getting it done. I'm 26 BTW. The foreskin just gets in the way a bit...for example it makes it a real hassle for me to put condoms on. I don't know if it's just because of my super short foreskin, but my foreskin gets pulled downwards and stretched really tightly as the condom is being rolled down the shaft, and it hurts. It's kind of a delicate operation trying to put a condom on without hurting myself (I always get the woman to do it for me), and sometimes my dick has already started to go soft before I get the damn thing completely on, which makes it even MORE difficult to put on and turns an already difficult task into an impossible one. Also, I'm really not trying to boast or anything, but mine is pretty big and has a very thick girth, which makes it hard to get condoms on...even the biggest ones I have tried. There are men who have sought methods to "regenerate" or stretch out a new foreskin, and there are men who claim they have recovered painful memories of being circumcised in their infancy. There is also a growing consensus among the more progressive medical and scientific community that circumcision is inadvisable on a routine basis.

If you want to get a circumcision for your own reasons, consult a medical doctor and ask about medical pros and cons of the procedure. Bring up your specific reasons for considering this and ask the surgeon to address them. Be advised that you will still get crappy, unsatisfying handjobs in the future if you don't learn how to TELL your partner how you like it, foreskin or no foreskin. There's nothing wrong with guiding her hand with your own, you know.
