Disillusioned Posted August 14, 2011 Posted August 14, 2011 Finally had a pic taken of myself without the goofy grin. So, aside from the fact that I have more chins than a Chinese phone book, how do I look? (I ain't no chick magnet, that's for sure...) No middle finger in this photo, I promise.

ascendotum Posted August 14, 2011 Posted August 14, 2011 The opinions of single women will be your best guide for how you rate when it comes to attractiveness, and even then actions in RL speak much lounder than well meaning words on a forum. You're not as bad as I expected given the bleakness of most of your posts. As a big blokey guy you should do alright in your 30s + 40s I would have thought. I've got a mate who is not too dissimilar, who struggled in his 20s and early 30s and his lack of success affected his confidence which just compounded the difficulty of appealing to women. Then around his mid 30s women started to be a lot friendlier towards him, and this boosted his mojo and at the same time, he dressed a bit better and I noticed he also seemed to apply the use of psychology in his conversations with women (bit PUA). He did a lot better with women, but is still unmarried which is not what he wanted. His ideal woman was still rooted in what he wanted for a wife back in his 20s...not overweight, traditional/family orientated, no kids and no emotional baggage.
delilah123 Posted August 14, 2011 Posted August 14, 2011 I'm a 21 year old female... so perhaps not really someone opinion who would matter to yourself, but i honestly don't think you look bad... obviously you aren't a model, but if i liked your personality (just from looks so making large assumptions, as i don't remember any of your previous posts), i'd assume you'd be blokey, loudish with the boys, enjoy a beer, know how to treat a lady, kind and generous, if you were as funny as well, i'd not say no to a date. admittedly if your personality wasn't killer i probably wouldn't be that interested.. not that you are unattractive to me by any means, just not SO attractive that i'd be willing to give it some time to see if our personalities 'eventually clicked'. every girl is different, the fact that i'm indifferent towards hard abs baffles all my girl friends. you'll meet the right lady... i think you look very honest and kind.
musemaj11 Posted August 14, 2011 Posted August 14, 2011 I think you would be quite a handsome man if you could lose quite a few pounds.
Author Disillusioned Posted August 14, 2011 Author Posted August 14, 2011 i'd assume you'd be blokey, loudish with the boys, Bzzzzzz!!! People don't expect giants to be deep and demure with a sardonic sense of humor. enjoy a beer Bzzzzzz!!! Beer is meant to be suffered, not enjoyed. (it must be hell to live in the UK if you can't or don't drink...) i think you look very honest and kind. Bzzzzzz!!! To people who've rubbed me the wrong way, the opposite can be true. I think you would be quite a handsome man if you could lose quite a few pounds. Easier said than done. I dieted, I exercised... the only way the weight is going to come off is under the knife.
musemaj11 Posted August 14, 2011 Posted August 14, 2011 Easier said than done. I dieted, I exercised... the only way the weight is going to come off is under the knife. Its your life and your choice dude. Many people lose a lot of pounds without surgery.
FitChick Posted August 14, 2011 Posted August 14, 2011 Easier said than done. I dieted, I exercised... the only way the weight is going to come off is under the knife. Most people think they know how to lose weight but have some very peculiar ideas which is why they can't lose the weight. Hire a personal trainer for a month who can guide you with nutrition and exercise and then continue on your own. Otherwise, there are lots of fitness forums where you can get advice. You limit the number and type of women you will attract, unless you prefer women who are equally overweight.

Biking took up so much time that I had zero time for leisure. Dieting meant that I ended up not being able to eat anything that tasted good. I was NOT a happy camper.
Feelin Frisky Posted August 15, 2011 Posted August 15, 2011 Not what I would have thought. I was sure your avatar was you.

Dieting meant that I ended up not being able to eat anything that tasted good. I was NOT a happy camper. That's where you went wrong, by dieting. You need to make changes in your eating and lifestyle that are permanent. I really don't believe half of these people who have surgery to lose weight actually need the surgery. Unless they've been diagnosed with something that affects their weight. People aren't medical miracles, they don't go against the rule, science isn't wrong. If you knew exactly what to do you'd see it is possible.

Author Disillusioned Posted August 15, 2011 Author Posted August 15, 2011 You guys are just picking on me because I'm a land whale.
Ross MwcFan Posted August 15, 2011 Posted August 15, 2011 Cool! It's great to see what you look like. I was totally expecting it to just be a joke picture at first.
Els Posted August 15, 2011 Posted August 15, 2011 Given that apparently more than 50% of Americans are overweight, I wouldn't give this guy a hard time. As long as he doesn't mind being with an overweight woman himself, that is.
SmileFace Posted August 15, 2011 Posted August 15, 2011 Seeing your picture is so not helping the fact that I am under the impression that you have a Realdoll. Now everytime I see a guy who even resembles you, I will be doomed to think about a damn Realdoll
Pierre Posted August 15, 2011 Posted August 15, 2011 Lose weight, grow your hair, get a goatie and the babes will be all over you. The potential is there.
wezol Posted August 15, 2011 Posted August 15, 2011 Lose weight, grow your hair, get a goatie and the babes will be all over you. The potential is there. And a Harley.
nyc_guy2003 Posted August 15, 2011 Posted August 15, 2011 Kind of reminds me of Peter Griffin from Family Guy. But he married a hot rich chick so there is hope for everyone.
OliveOyl Posted August 15, 2011 Posted August 15, 2011 Lose weight, grow your hair, get a goatie and the babes will be all over you. The potential is there. I agree. Your hair looks nice and thick... flaunt it. Your features are fine. Really only thing that needs help is what others have mentioned... weight loss.
AlexDP Posted August 15, 2011 Posted August 15, 2011 Given that apparently more than 50% of Americans are overweight, I wouldn't give this guy a hard time. As long as he doesn't mind being with an overweight woman himself, that is. His chances would increase dramatically if he lost the weight then.
ptp Posted August 15, 2011 Posted August 15, 2011 lose weight for health reasons. Be confident in your body for romantic reasons. If you have self-confidence and are happy with the way you look, you will get women.
FitChick Posted August 15, 2011 Posted August 15, 2011 Believe me, I've tried it. Biking took up so much time that I had zero time for leisure. Dieting meant that I ended up not being able to eat anything that tasted good. I was NOT a happy camper. For breakfast today, I had Ezekiel bread, toasted, with a tablespoon of almond butter and half an ounce of dark chocolate melted on top. Quite tasty and fewer calories than you would think. I often have a cheese and spinach omelet for breakfast. You can eat plenty of delicious foods. Just don't eat so much of them. You could start out by halving the portion sizes of everything you eat now and see how much you lose in a week. All you have to do is eat 500 fewer calories per day for a week and that is one pound of fat lost. You would probably do well on an Atkins type of diet (Atkins is too extreme) by eating meat, fish, eggs, cheese, avocadoes and vegetables but no bread, chips, cookies. Skip the alcohol which is empty calories or have only one ounce of booze per day. Otherwise, there are plenty of fat women you can take to cheap all-you-can-eat-buffets.
