I know that!! I just found out my mom went their as a kid when she lives in Rhode Island, but that was before those morons made it a TV show. How can sooo many people be sooo dumb!!!???!!

xoxoDaniellexoxo Posted August 14, 2011 Posted August 14, 2011 They made it a tv show because people make a lot of money off of it. I am not a fan but it certainly has helped the economy here. Now if only they could fix the rest of the country's economy!!!
Woggle Posted August 14, 2011 Posted August 14, 2011 Now if only they could fix the rest of the country's economy!!! True but at what price. I still think they could have found another way to do it. I drive home everyday and see a bunch of fans across the street from the house in lawn chairs waiting for somebody to come out. It's beyond pathetic and most of the locals hate them. The people who businesses like the money but nobody likes them.
xoxoDaniellexoxo Posted August 14, 2011 Posted August 14, 2011 it's enjoyable to watch too Hahaha that is true!!!! How do people not know how to buy grocceries!!!!
xoxoDaniellexoxo Posted August 14, 2011 Posted August 14, 2011 1. Not all women deserve a gentleman 2. Not even most women deserve a gentleman 3. Infact only a small minority deserve a gentleman 4. That you are in that small minority of those women who deserve a gentleman... is a long shot. ONLY old-fashioned women deserve old-fashioned men Why should a succesful woman who is modern in everything except dating have an old fashioned gentleman? You wanna play it old-fashioned? FINE When you get married you should stay at home, take care of the kids, make dinner, clean, do all housechores and be a sweet little housewife. Meanwhile you husband will be the sole provider and bread winner, he'll have the final say on every decision but he'll be a gentleman in every aspect and take care of you. You can't have a good job, make good money, send the kids to daycare instead of staying home with them, splitting up housechores and cooking and STILL demand that the man should be an old-fashioned gentleman. I don't think that is fair at all!! We aren't asking you to be Gene Kelly serca "Singing in the Rain" we are asking to just have a door held open or to be called ma'am and even pull out a chair, I mean PTP gave a great example with his GF and I DO NOT want a man to TAKE CARE OF ME!!! I like being independent I would be bored half to death if I was home cleaning all day!! We aren't asking you to be Mr.Clever but certain parts of that man is appealing.
xoxoDaniellexoxo Posted August 14, 2011 Posted August 14, 2011 True but at what price. I still think they could have found another way to do it. Not to mention people in other countries most really think people in the USA are even dumber then before.
xoxoDaniellexoxo Posted August 14, 2011 Posted August 14, 2011 You're either old-fashioned all the way or not at all. I think it's ridicilous when succesful women who have good jobs, have a modern look on life, are independant and all for equality and female empowerment in the business world... suddenly when it comes to dating are so old fasioned that the man just has to pursue them like it was 1800. I see it all the time A highly educated succesful independant woman says "I guess I'm just old-fashioned" or "I'm old fashioned, the man should pursue me not vice versa" or "I only want men who can treat me like the princess I am" BULL****. Thats all it is. To those women, firstly you're not old-fasioned(if you were you wouldn't be succesful, infact you would't even work anymore once you get married) and second you don't deserve an old fashioned gentleman. Only women who recognizes that their role is in the home taking care of the kids and household should actually have an old fashioned gentleman. No that is called wanting to be treated nicely!! I'm not saying you have to pay for evey dinner or court me or even be the one to ask me out but being courteous is never old-fashioned. And the fact that you think women are only good for taking care of the kids and the house and being your "play thing" is a sad and disgusting outlook that is sure to get you kicked in the balls! Oh sorry that's right you are too busy reading comiccs to actually meet real women.

Why, what all you just mentioned, is more reason for a men to be a gentleman. A true gent is a true gent. Your reasoning is what all your fellow man-vaginas want us to believe, so women can do all the work and be treated like sh*t. Sure, whatever.
xoxoDaniellexoxo Posted August 14, 2011 Posted August 14, 2011 Everybodydeserves to get treated nicely. Man or woman. I mean't that for so called old fashioned women. Old fashioned women are supposed to be stay at home wife's.... If they're not well then they ain't old fashoned. Modern women are not. But modern women are not supposed to expect men to jump through hoops to get them and that courteous nice behaviour is something that only women deserve. You are just illustrating my point further women want someone who can courteous and nice and I am the same way back! Men still expect women to be nothing more than their little play thing that dosn't have a voice and is happy being nothing more than a mute person who cleans ur house! NOT WHAT WE WANT!! I have NO problem doing my share of chores in fact I like swiffering and vacuming but what u r suggesting is that u do whatever the hell you want and we do all the chores and take care of the kids and then you will be a gentleman??? Yeah good luck getting someone to actually date you....

xoxoDaniellexoxo Posted August 14, 2011 Posted August 14, 2011 errr... And also support her financially and be the one working and brining in all money. I think it's only fair that if the man is working and the woman is staying at home that the woman takes care of the housechores and children. Or what? Should the man work all the day while the woman does nothing and sends the kids to daycare? But that's only if SHE wants to take the old-fashioned route. I'm perfectley comfortable in taking a more modern approach if that means it will be like that in all aspects. I can support myself! More and more women are having to pay spousal support because men are losing their jobs, women are now independent we don't need someone to bring home a paycheck when we bring in our own.
xoxoDaniellexoxo Posted August 14, 2011 Posted August 14, 2011 So a man should treat a woman nicely but she shouldn't treat him nicely? OH NO!! Both parties need to treat each other well!! I have absolutly NO problem doing something that might be small but make someone happy like make their favorite dinner, or even give them a neck rub if they had a bad day or even just sit and watch football games, or a movie I hate if it makes him happy,, it is about give and take, which is what comicbookguy fails to see. I think that women are guilty of not taking into consideration their partner's wishes. I know that when my mom knew my dad had a bad day she would make him his favorite dessert and offer to clean up while he took a shower or take out the dog so he could rest. I think that sucessful relationships are all about treating your partner how you want to be treated!

Many women even consider faithful women that don't cheat to be stepford wives.
Pierre Posted August 14, 2011 Posted August 14, 2011 That's great and all, but you seemed to miss my point. If a woman is really old fashioned, wants me to chase her and be a gentleman to her. Then I will expect that she is old fashioned in everything and not just the early dating stages. If a woman is modern, independant, earns her own money I'd expect that she is also modern in the early dating stages and is herself as nice to the man as the man is to her, that she is not just a passive walflower who plays hard to get but that she can actually take initiatives of her own. A man should be a gentleman with all types of men and women. A gentleman treats a woman correctly whether she is a lady or a tramp. Being a gentleman is not related to the status or personality of the woman. Being a gentleman is not related to the gender of the other person. Being a gentleman is not related to getting something out of a relationship. A gentleman is a gentleman because that is part of his makeup and personality.

I think relationships need to follow the golden rule "treat others how you want to be treated" I think that cheating is a TERRIBLE thing to do! I think being nice to your partner and treating them well is how it should be. I know couples fight don't get me wrong and I think women who want to be treated well and then don't treat men well is sad and hurtful to other women's actions, because now if I women is kind and does something special "she wants something in return". If something as simple as vacumming or cleaning up after dinner or even leaving notes makes my partner happy then I am all for it!!
AHardDaysNight Posted August 14, 2011 Posted August 14, 2011 I think being a gentleman is accepting the responsibility that things should be equal.
Tasha49 Posted August 14, 2011 Posted August 14, 2011 Maybe men stop being a gentleman because women stop appreciating them. My mom is great. I love her and we have a good relationship. However... she is crazy in the head when it comes to dating. She has the attitude that men should treat her like a princess. And she usually finds those men. However... in return she treats her men like complete crap. So they are no longer determined to be a gentleman when she is not showing that she appreciates them for it. I feel like men try so hard sometimes because women complain about not liking to be treated like dirt. Then he comes along but the girl often times lets her part of the bargain fall under. If I were a guy... I would slightly be hesitant and not so eager to be a gentleman.

Nobody is entitled to be catered to simply because of their gender.

Like Danielle said, if a man treats a woman with respect, he will most likely get the same reward in return. If a woman is a nasty being, she is nasty regardless of the situation.

I know so many men who bend over backwards for a woman and get treated like pure garbage in return.
donnamaybe Posted August 14, 2011 Posted August 14, 2011 You do not have to be a big strong gal to be fit, and able to lift heavy objects. It is a nice gesture, if he wishes to carry your luggage, but hopefully it is because of good manners, and not because he sees you as weak, and unfit to carry heavier objects. So if a guy pays your way all the time that must mean he thinks you are incapable of earning a living wage on your own. Unless the above thought process conveniently flips when the issue of money comes up...
