If he goes for his own door and doesn't open the door for you and that's important to you, it's fine to say "aren't you going to open the door for me?" That will usually get someone who just may not be experienced in gentlemanly behavior to know that it's important to you without you more expressly asking him to open the door, or hitting him over the head with the fact that he didn't. Don't suck your teeth, or say JFC when he does. I was a young dope once and my first LTR after I got a car prompted me that way and I never assumed anything since.
