I had emailed this woman online. She had an unusual list of "Must Haves" and "Would Like to haves"

Though I met her list of "Would like to haves" she said, "Must like to text" I responded that I opted out of texting, and feel it's impersonal, though it is useful in a career.

She wanted a man that OWNED his own home. I said I was single, and thus I paid rent. She's divorced, so she gets it in the divorce.

There were a few other things as well, but she said though, I sound like a good guy, but those things in even her "would like to have" list is important to her.

But I was kinda baffled when she said she said it's important if a guy Texts?

She sounds like a very deep, introspective sort of woman.

I prefer to text. It's way more convenient. It would drive me nuts if a girl wanted to chat on the phone all the time. Maybe she feels the same way?

Rather sad that we'd prefer to distance some of ourselves from each other by technology.

I hate texting as well. I like to hear a person's voice. I

I wouldn't date a guy who wasn't fine with texting, but I've not met a guy in RL who was in my general age range (25ish-33ish) for whom this was a problem. I don't like phone calls much.

I prefer men who don't own houses, but it's not a biggie if they do. I just don't really understand why young, unmarried people feel the need to buy property. (I've heard "the investment" but tell that to all my friends who are upside down now on "starter houses"! I prefer my money market, thanks. Slow & steady wins the race. . . or at least doesn't have to eat ramen when she's 60.)

Anyway, I think people can have whatever priorities they want. Why worry about them?
