The girl that I have know since May asked me to go out with her next Thursday since I'm dealing with being unemployed. That was going to be our 5th date. She called me today and texts me all the time and tonight I was playing around with her about us going to the beach together. So iss upposed to go to a beach in Maryland tomorrow to see family and I was messing around saying I want to go with her to the beach in a text. her response-"I'm taking my boyfriend???? Her boyfriend? Sbe treats me to dinner on our last date and askes me out next week and she has a boyfriebd? And I wasn't sure if it was a joke because I saw no lol.. But I don't think a woman would joke like that with a guy she is interested in right? Then I said-"well you can take him to the movies next week" Her-"Maybe I will" Is she on medication? Where did this sH*t come from out of the blue? She never gave me a hint that she had a boyfriend because since we have een going out 1.Always texts me 2. Always calls me 3. Treated me to dinner on Date 4 4 Ask me to go to movies next week 5. Laid her head on my shoulder on her last date after sharing a funnel cake Does this sound weird to anyone else?
zengirl Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 I think she was talking about you. But I'm not really clear. Something in all the wording (of what you've written) is messing me up. I think she plans on taking you to the movies next week. . . and was joking about you two going to the beach together, probably testing the BF words out.

This is why people shouldn't joke in text messages; sarcasm doesn't translate. But don't worry, she wasn't talking about another guy.

I think she was talking about you, hence the question marks, should have asked for clarification Have you talked to her since?
