alphamale
My boss suggested a red card way of dealing with things when one of us is aggressive. Interestingly, whereas I loved the idea, she looked angry. Probably because she knows she'll be seeing it, before she can ever consider pulling it . Maybe that alone will show her. I'm considering giving one to the rest of the team. She'll see red everywhere. thats sort of idiotic. in soccer getting a "red card" means ejection from the game. are you going to red card her then kick her out the door? Lol. Well, I'm trying to do it his way and see how it goes. His intentions are good. Even if it seems infantile and like I have to teach a 20 something how to behave in a grown up world. In a perfect world, the first red card gets booted from the game. But I think my project manager, who won't even deal with her at this point would be the first to throw it. Author daphne
jesus christ. does anyone at your company have any balls? Ouch. No, we're just both geminis. We prefer to get along, when possible. The one with the balls is the one that's trying to bully me.
Art_Critic
Daphne, in case you haven't done so, you might want to have a one-on-one discussion with your boss as a post-mort for the meeting, to get a feel of where he stands. This will ensure that the two of you are aligned in both understanding and methodology for future disciplinary actions. I think that is a great idea.. It will also give you an idea where your boss sits on why it went downhill do fast and maybe next time he will let you do it your way..

It went downhill so fast because she's a competitive motivated person, who was going through a rough patch and was being outshined by another employee. She was jealous, and lashed out at both of us. But the other girl would try to calm her down, and that's not my style. I'm not walking on eggshells with someone that I'm giving my time to mentor. My boss has seen me put up with an enormous amount of **** and inequity in the past, and if I start putting my foot down there's a reason.
