Look into the world of Furries. There are lots of people involved in it who love stuffed animals; women and men alike.

Since they were hippies, I wonder if maybe the bear thing was an oblique reference to the Grateful Dead.

Although the feeding them part is strange.

What does the music group have to do with it?

This. I feel bad for him, and don't like how people are picking on him. :(

Agreed. :(

Well i didn't say I"m heavily into it. I'm not interested in furries.

I'm not even that heavily into teddybears. I'm just saying just sometimes i can grab a doll or something and play with it a little. That's all . I'm not crazy about them or anything.

You guys DO realize that OP is severely mentally disabled, as he has admitted before? Of course he will play with toys etc, as he has never, through no fault of his own, mentally advanced to adulthood.

My bad. I didn't connect the name to his previous threads on LS. His disability does change things. :(

No reason why you shouldn't do it just cos it's not seen as normal, who cares what's seen as normal, as long as it's not harming anybody.

Hell, one of the great things about having kids is playing with their toys. Those GI Joes come with much cooler accessories than they did when I was a kid.

prove it. or are you a female going in for the attack.

rofl.. I'm a guy... and it's pretty easy to prove, you just need to look at his previous threads... a quick sampling form the first page..

"I have disability" - http://www.loveshack.org/forums/t290849/

"I can't talk" - http://www.loveshack.org/forums/t287693/

There was one where people advised him to go back to college and he said "I can't understand basic adult concepts".

This is not an attack, but a statement of fact.

You know what? If you enjoy it, what could be wrong with it? It harms no one. Stuffed animals are cute. Women who don't like it ... probably aren't right for you anyway, right? But, who knows. You might just find a woman who likes to play with them sometimes just about like you do. Anyway, if you have a relationship with a woman, she should accept you as you really are, including this part of you.

I don't know, there's something that doesn't add up here. That he even posts these questions in the first place says that he has enough "observing ego" to get that it's something women are possibly going to find weird or off-putting. I can't imagine someone who is truly as mentally disabled as claimed probably wouldn't be able to get that. So I have my doubts.

How does he even get on this forum in the first place? If he can't take care of himself, don't his caretakers monitor his internet access more closely?

At any rate, I don't think this is the place for him. If I were moderator I'd ban him.

I don't know what disability QG has. I don't need to know. There are people who can talk and type perfectly well even though they have mental disabilities. Take people with Asperger's or high functioning autism. They may have normal intelligence, but they miss the social clues and cues that typical people take for granted. They seem socially immature.

Ban him? For what? Posting in a public internet forum? too much policing going on.

Well, I'm not sure this is the place for someone who isn't at the level of an adult, as people can be harsh. What if someone says something nasty to him on here and he takes it really hard and does something (to himself)?

I don't feel that a 13-year-old, or someone who is showing severe mental/behavioral problems (such as one goal), or anyone who talks about committing suicide, should be on here. For related reasons.

Thing is though, he does show a certain level of self-awareness to make me suspect that the mentally disabled thing is a ruse. Which is why I come across somewhat harsh myself.

Well I'm a guy, but I think making up fantasy scenarios with the toys would be weird. Nothing against collecting them though. I'm 20 and I make model ships and planes and cars and I think that's a pretty fun hobby. But anyway, my advice would be to not tell a woman this on your first date (and probably not till you're in a position where you can talk about most things comfortably).

Actually, I'm pretty tempted to go out and buy some lego now and make it!

I know lots of adult men who, basically, play "toy soldiers". Not stuffed toys, but usually small painted plastic or metal figures. It's still just playing and using imagination (although sometimes tempered by some rules as part of a game). I'm thinking along the lines of Warhammer and similar games. I don't think this is particularly weird (although it does fall into either 'geek' or 'nerd' territory, which may or may not be attractive).

I didn't realize that, sorry Quietguy, I take back what I said. My sincere apologies.

leftfordead2,

thanks. Don't worry. I have speech problem and understanding problem but mostly when I talk and hear speech so i have alot of problems in jobs etc and everybody at work has always thought i was stupid. Writing is ok. But i'm not perfect either but i can do ok in writing.

ANyways, so you guys are mostly saying that girls DO think guys who like to once in a while(when they see toys in stores etc) play alittle with toys are total losers.

It's ok. Well I'm not the typical guy. I'm more childish and happy person. I'm not like a serious business man or a Playboy kind of guy. I'm just a guy with a child heart. I didn't think that would be so wrong.

I guess girls only like those other type of guys.

Well, you're officially a troll.

He has autism.

How about you go pick on someone your own size, instead of mental retards?

Posted

op def sounded austistic to me. i called that.

i wouldnt mention it on the first date but if it makes you happy, keep doing it. i am in my 20s and i play with stuffed animals and a dollhouse. i am a female. it relieves stress and i dont care who sees me do it. i like letting out my inner child once in a while. no shame.

I have Aspergers. I am high functioning, and can manage to do things by myself, but I struggle with having to put things in order and some loud noises bother me. Also, bright lights.

That being said, there are plenty of Aspies in relationships, so I know that it's not my Aspieness that's stopping me from getting into a relationship. It's probably my low self esteem.

If the OP wants to play with dolls, more power to him. Some have foot fetishes, some have diaper fetishes, some have scat fetishes. Playing with dolls seems mild in comparison.

And I was here under a different username before, so that's how I know the OP has autism. He told me so. If someone wants to point fingers at him and call him a troll for having mental problems...well, that is not a very nice person.

you didnt answer my question.

You're a troll. It's pretty obvious. Try subtlety next time. It works better.
