I am seeing one friends cousin and we are dating I guess you could say and he likes me and says how much he cares about me but he said he cannot promise me anything. What the heck does that mean?

I would of never found out until my sister was looking of profiles for herself and said umm isn't that your friends cousin?? I said yes and she said he was online today.

If I really like a woman I see she wants to date others then I see that as a negative signal and bow out. Why romance a woman that is also romancing other guys?

Exactly right. Have a talk with him if your aim is to establish exclusivity. Not being able to promise you anything seems to mean he's still deciding and wants to be able to date others.

singlelife Posted August 9, 2011 Posted August 9, 2011 females act as their entitled to date the whole town while males get critcized if they date more than one person. Dating is for seeing if you like the other person like that. Both are free to see other's unless it is stated otherwise. SOmetimes it takes comparing to other dates and several months to know if you are compatible with someone. And yes women you have to compete with other females just like men have to compete with other males. It's called life.

Ignore it until you talk about being exclusive....I keep looking until I know I am exclusive with someone...I don't count my chickens until all the eggs hatch
