Mr. Savage Posted August 8, 2011 Posted August 8, 2011 My ex-gf dumped me about 2 months ago. Not a pretty breakup. Anyway I havn't been in the "game" so to speak since then. Jut kinda laying low and not really making any effort to date anyone. The other day I see on facebook that a girl I went to high school with and who I always thought was really cool and very attractive has just become single. But get this. She looks IDENTICAL to my ex-girlfriend. Facially I swear they could easily pass as twins! I wish I could show you pictures but I don't want to invade others privacy. It really is uncanny. So I am now considering getting in contact with this girl and maybe seeing if she wants to go out sometime. But in the back of my mind I keep thinking things like: is this some kind of subconscious sway of wanting my ex back? Will I give my bitch of an ex the satisfaction of finding out that I am dating someone that looks identical to her. Will my friends and others notice that she is indentical looking to my ex. In the end I am sure I will make a move. But you know that little voice in the back of your head that messes with you about things. What do you all think?
Professor X Posted August 8, 2011 Posted August 8, 2011 The real question is do you want your ex' still? Be honest. If not, than no, it's not your subconscious.
Dust Posted August 8, 2011 Posted August 8, 2011 A man should have a type. If she looks like your ex but isn’t your ex then consider her a potential evolution in the right direction. Seriously many men/women see similarities in the next person they like to their ex. Not necessarily a bad thing if they are like your ex minus the reason you broke up. Just don’t openly compare her to your ex. Don’t let yourself be weirded out by something cool. Know what would be really hot if your ex and her doppelganger all got to gather for some fun.
Author Mr. Savage Posted August 9, 2011 Author Posted August 9, 2011 I just sent her a message on Facebook. We will see how it goes. No I do not want my ex back. And now that I think about it its kinda funny that this new girl is the same as my ex in many ways (likes tattoos, horror movies, etc.) but she is also alot of the things I wished my ex would of been (witty sense of humor, somewhat artistic, etc.) It's like an upgrade so to speak (that kinda sounds mean?) I will consider myself to be lucky if anything comes of this because we both became single at roughly the same time outta the blue. We'll see what happens i guess.
