moontides Posted August 3, 2011 Posted August 3, 2011 So there is this guy I really, really like. We'll call him Will. We have been seeing each other once a week at church activities for a couple of months, and are friendly towards one another...talk, hang etc. However, I haven't caught any signs of romantic interest on his part. My roommate just so happens to be dating one of his best friends. Would it be a bad idea to have her mention that I like Will, and suggest her boyfriend bring me up to Will and see what he thinks of me? Would this maybe get him thinking about me, and possibly spark and interest in him if he knows that I am interested? Or, would this kill the "hunt" action that guys like. I don't know...it makes me feel like I'm making the first move, which usually is a bad idea....or so I'm told, haha.
thatone Posted August 4, 2011 Posted August 4, 2011 not necessarily a bad idea. my mother approached her third husband, they're still married ~20 years later. i would advise against having the roommate push him that much though. make it subtle, then let him act on it. give him your phone number, or if you insist on sending the roommate to do your dirty work, just tell her to suggest that he ask for your phone number/ask you out, and leave it on him. if he is interested, he will act on the hint.
