Which do men find more important? A good face or a good body?

You have two choices.

1. A woman with the sexiest body you have ever seen but with an unattractive face.

Or

2. A really beautiful woman with a body which is pretty out of shape. I don't mean obese. She is pretty chunky and has a large belly and isn't feminine looking.

Both girls have equally nice personalities!! :D

I ask this because I have noticed men seem to be quite picky about body type. Some of my male friends would point to a slightly out of shape woman and say they would never date her.

Maybe all my male friends are just shallow?

Perhaps its because I now live in a country where beauty is seen as the most important thing. I don't care for this culture, I just happen to live in it.

I know soooooo many men that will say BODY.

I know a lot of women that will say body too.

I think there are a lot of men out there that will choose body over face.

I've grown up listening to men hammer this one out- and body is important to them.

Body. All day, every day.

Body is 85% of how you look anyway.

I have seen a lot of guys pick face over body, but only if the body is slightly less attractive than the face.

Hot face, less attractive body > hot body, less attractive face.

Any extremes introduced and guys think of the practicality of a paper bag and also reverse cowgirl.

Lol

I can't lie I will pick a girl with a cute face over a hot body 7 days a week.

A hot body is fun to look at but a cute face is nice to wake up to.

I'm too curvy, it makes me look fat- I have a tiny waist tho. Some dudes don't like curves I guess, so what IS a hot body?

Since so many men would prefer a hot body, what exactly is a hot body?

Which is most ideal?

1. Curvy and womanly. Very sexy looking, big breasts, small waist, nice bum and flaunts it. I am thinking Beyonce!

2. Feminine, petite and delicate. Very slim, good stomach and legs, small to medium size breasts. For example Natalie Portman,

One, defininitely one but I'm thinking Sophia Vergara or Salma Hayek.

I know many men that will pick face over body (if the body is not obese that is, obesity kind of distorts the face too).

I think body fat has a lot more impact to how a man looks than to a woman. A woman with some 'extra' body fat can look curvy because her boobs and ass will grow bigger too. On the other hand, a man with extra body fat is just fat.

I have no problems with women who are slightly out of shape. I'll take cuteness over a perfect body any day of the week. In fact, I find women who are full figured with the right curves to be EXTREMELY attractive. It's all about proportion.

But there is one drawback to your post... "isn't feminine looking". I'm not sure what you mean by that. A girl can be overweight but still look like a girl! If she has facial traits of a man then the answer is no.

Cuteness wins the day in my book. I'd be very happy with a thick girl who is cute. BUT she has to be cute or else I would have no attraction to her.

What I mean was a woman who has masculine features. I mean broad shoulders and manly hands and feet.

I don't like having this thread as I really think every body is beautiful in their own way.

I am just curious after hearing comments from male friends.

There is so much emphasis on looks and body shape in today's society. It causes so many women and men to feel insecure and I feel its a problem.

I hazard to say that there are plenty of men in either the face or body camps. Also, I think a woman's confidence and comfort with her looks and/or weight will draw men toward her.

Posted

There aren't enough women with larger bodies who are happy like that in the world.

I also chose 'face' over 'body' before I saw the thread replies.

Either can turn me off. Then again, repulsive face + hot body combo is a lot rarer than morbid obesity.

Plastic surgery can fix both the face and the body so it shouldn't be a problem these days if something bothers you so much that you can't date. If you (male or female) are fat, you know what you have to do.

I personally prefer men with good bodies because we can work out and generally be active together and probably think the same in terms of daily lifestyle. If he has a plain face or even unattractive, depending on how that manifests, it usually doesn't bother me. I do avoid pretty boys because in my experience they are nothing but trouble.

This is a personal preference. Most guys will probably pick 1, but another large group of men will pick 2. I fall in the latter group. It's not that I dislike curvy women, don't get me wrong, but women from group 2 appeal even more to me. It's a sort of elegant and "gazelle-like" quality that women like Natalie Portman portray that appeals to me, also the sleek lines and subtle curves are beautiful in my opinion.

Face. But I can't abide the "not feminine looking" part. If you mean that she's just not very girly but not at all mannish, I'm OK with it.

I would rather have a woman with a pretty face and an average body than an average face and a hot body. You see the face everyday, and with an average body, she can still look hot depending on what shes wearing.

There is a woman I see on OKC that has the one of the hottest bodies I've ever seen, but her face...god....train wreck. You'd have to wrap a flag around her face and F*ck her for ol' glory. :lmao:

Chunky I can live with. Thick can even be hot. But it's the thought of a woman's big belly, trucker style, that just undoes it for me.

My datapoint is when I have genuinely had an infatuation response (call it physical attraction, whatever) it is only later that I truly notice their body. The stronger and more marked the physical/emotional response in myself, the less likely I am to pay attention to specific body details or be able to accurately describe them physically.

The eyes have it.

Having had the luxury of revisiting a couple past infatuations after years or decades have gone by, I see consistency. That's my path. YMMV.

Confined to the two choices offered, I'd pick #2. My exW was/is like that. Imagine Valerie Bertinelli when she was heavy.

For me, ideal is someone more like this.

This. Interesting story -- most of my life I used to think I would go with hot body, ugly face, until one of my fraternity brothers in college dated (and ended up marrying) one of the worst butterfaces I have ever seen in my life. I am not exaggerating, this chick had Carmen Electra's body with the Wicked Witch of the West's face. I remember the first time a few of us met her, we saw her from a distance and everyone of us pitched a tent in our pants. Then when she got up close and we saw the f*kked up face we were all ready to puke. Ever since that experience I swore off butterfaces.

I am pretty much BODY all the way, I've seen some pretty not so great looking faces on a woman, but if they have an arse you could bounce a quarter off of, I don't care.

I've seen this one ex-exotic dancer, she's cute, but had shown some "wear n tear" on her face through years of partying and such, but she worked out a lot.....great body, round butt, and juggs to die for. She could even pull of a sexy look with not a great looking face.

Body all the way. There's more below the neck than above. lol

Yep, LOL I've seen exactly that, and I'd be willing to protect her from a falling house from Kansas, too. LOL
