and you apparently attach some sort of resentment to money and men who get more play with women due to money than you do, just as there are women who refuse men with money because they fear losing their illusion of control, and fear stepping outside of their class for the same reason.

If that is addressed to me, your inference is wrong. I don't resent money. I am actually quite well off financially myself: have a well-paying professional job, a nice condo, brand new $60,000 car, etc. (not saying this to brag, but rather to refute your allegations). Being 30, I believe I've done quite well for myself.

So no, I don't resent money or people who make good money. However, I do resent people who have their eyes on someone else's money. In other words, I hate thieves, socialists, and yes, gold diggers. I would hate nothing more than a woman dating me for the money.

In my view, gold diggers are much worse than prostitutes. At least, prostitutes are more honest. They don't pretend to love or even like you, and they tell you exactly how much they are going to cost. Basically, hookers provide and an honest service. Gold diggers, on the other hand, are con artists who try to suck you dry (and not in a good way) while giving as little as possible in return.

I kind of agree.

I mean, I can't help but love, how some of those ladies talk about prostitutes with huge disdain, when what they do is hardly any different. If them and their men agree to such setup - sure, who are we to judge? But thinking, how much superior they are to brothel girls - no cigar.

They speak of brothel girls with disdain because they see them as unfair competition. Brothel girls tell you ahead of time what their rate is and you're guaranteed to get what you pay for. If prostitution was legal and there was no moral stigma attached to it, gold-digging would be an impossible proposition.

Sorry there is no clear cut black and white as thatone describes. Going OT in response to white vs blue collar criminals, if they were both considered the same, the same as in both are criminals, there would be no segregation of prisons.

The law is clearly stating that white collared criminals deserve MUCH better treatment than blue. They are different, as I stated, in regards to women who are only looking for money and those accustomed to money. And, thatone also brought up a good point some women come across money unintentionally and may be brought up middle class, and can enjoy the finer things in life and not be a golddigger.

A criminal is what a criminal does. And a gold digger is what a gold digger does.

What has surprised me is how many men are golddiggers looking for the divorcee who got a nice financial settlement and a nice house so they could move in. Having never been married, I'm at a disadvantage in that respect and men seem disappointed that I rent an apartment. Those are the poor men.

Men who are financially comfortable don't care that I make less money and are quite happy to treat me. It makes them feel good. They don't want to compete with women. I won't date someone well off whom I don't find attractive, however; it takes more than money but in this economy I am not foolish enough to think we could live on love alone. That is a recipe for disaster.

There's nothing wrong with wanting the finer things in life. If you want those things don't look to other people to give them to you, get an education, work hard and achieve those finer things on your own.

Gold is such an overrated metal. Shouldn't smart young women be digging for platinum instead?

Exactly, where is the dignity? "digging for gold!?" ...pffft....

Then by the same logic, those men are just like u. They r simply looking out for themselves in this economy.

Personally I don't think personal financial situation is an excuse to be a gold digger.
