without Posted July 30, 2011 Posted July 30, 2011 Could a guy dump you without anyone involved?and with lame excuses and saying It's not you it's me...after 10 months?
smudge21 Posted July 30, 2011 Posted July 30, 2011 There doesn't have to be another person involved for someone to lose feelings and want to move on. I left an ex 2 years back simply because I'd fallen out of love with her. I just felt things were not, how to explain it, all that good. I mean, we still got along, but it felt more like I was forcing myself to be with her rather than wanting to be with her. I ended it simply because to stay with her would've meant living a lie. It was hard on her, but for me it felt right. I know, I'm the bad guy - don't worry, what goes around comes around and I've since suffered by becoming the dumpee. I guess that's fair. Try talking to him. After 10 months I think it's worth at least trying to find out what the problem is. Maybe it is workable, but prepare yourself just in case it isn't. Good luck.

smudge21 Posted July 30, 2011 Posted July 30, 2011 I was with my ex for 18 months when I had to end it. Feelings can go as quickly as they can come.
coltsfan1 Posted July 30, 2011 Posted July 30, 2011 Smudge-how can feelings go so fast, if a relationship was less than a year ok. But to spend three or four years bwith someone that's seems strange. Like maybe the feelings were not that deep to begin with.
smudge21 Posted July 30, 2011 Posted July 30, 2011 Feelings never go fast, they fade over time but when we're dumped, it feels sudden, where in reality the dumper has been thinking about it for some time. Even as a dumper from my past I know that even though the ending seemed sudden, it was actually building up for some time. I just tried to make it work, but couldn't. Plus, I don't think the time a relationship lasts has any meaning - feelings can be just as strong whether the relationship has been a few months or a few years.
