I was disturbed by this and declined dating him thinking he was using minipulation. After much discussion we went on a date. Then on 2 dates. I really like him, and I am now trying to know what questions to ask myself - is my like for him or subconsciously for his wealth. What questions can I ask myself to know..??

THAT will tell you if you really like him or his money -- will you spend your own money to spend time with him? If not, than you are probably more into his bank account.

With all due respect, I hardly think Pixidus allowing her gentleman date to pick up the tab for dinner at the Olive Garden means she's just with him for his bank account.
