ngmc0053 Posted July 27, 2011 Posted July 27, 2011 A year ago, I began working at a gym to help pay for expenses and find a focal point for my passion of physical fitness. It was there I met "T" (don't want to use her real name). The second I saw her, I knew I had the biggest crush on her. For the first 6 months, she turned me down every time I asked her out because she said I was too young for her (I'm 23, she's 33). I gave up for a while and we eventually became great friends. 6 months later, we decided to hang out and grab a drink after work. She admitted that she had feelings for me this entire time but she didn't want to act on them because she had just broken up with her boyfriend of 5 years not too long ago and also because of the age difference. We never put a label on our relationship, but we did things most "couples" do. We went to dinner, slept together, and she even introduced me to her family (as her friend, although her mother knew what was going on). I have never been this close with a woman in my life and I knew I was in love. However, I was offered a contract to fight professionally in Asia and it required me to leave for a few months. I spoke to her and said that I wouldn't sleep with anyone else, and that we'd take it one day at a time and let everything happen naturally. I came home 3 weeks ago and I find out that she is pregnant, and back together with her ex boyfriend. I am absolutely devastated and I still can't believe it. We spoke on the phone a few days ago and she tells me it was a mistake etc etc and that she still loves me but we obviously can't be together anymore. I want to tell her that we shouldn't be in one another lives, but at the same time she has become one of my closest friends and I don't think it's right to abandon her when she's pregnant with a baby she doesn't even want. What should I do?
