because my assumption makes sense.

 

you talk about how he takes multiple women from work out for drinks and seems to impress them all. that doesn't sound like virgin to me.

 

sounds more like a guy using his status/citizenship to get laid, considering your situation.

Actually no. The girls at work make fun of him and step all over him. They think he's a dork and a loser, apparently.

 

He admitted he was a virgin today.

I didn't realize he would pick some dime a dozen chick to have a crush on. She is so boring in both looks and personality! He says we are equal in looks and that he likes me more but I'm pretty sure it's because she rejected him! I am supposed to be the hottest Indian.

Well he is nice and shy. Same as he is to me. I dunno man. I realize now I mostly liked him cuz he liked me. Now that I realize he likes even that boring girl, he could even think about her after kissing me, it's like wtf

 

And the red flag went up when he said that he thinks she's jealous of me and my looks and the attention he's been giving me lately

As an objective observer....your face is a about a 6 out of 10....I think maybe you think you are hotter than you actually are. Plus maybe he goes for deeper things than just looks. This other woman might have that "je ne sais quoi" that you don't.

You strike me as young, and I don't mean that in a derogatory way.

 

Something I learned a long time ago, is that, unfortunately, there will be really, really attractive people who you really, really like as a person and get along fabulously with, that you just don't feel that chemical, raw, spark-like connection with, no matter how hard you try.

 

You could, and probably are, one of those such people to this dude.

 

Don't let the fact that he's not trying to jump your bones diminish how cute and fun you think you are...because you are. ;)

You weren't interested in him anyways, you were just interested in the idea of him liking you. And stop saying the girl he likes is boring and unnattractive. Jealousy is unappealing.

I think Stargazer's explanation, could be the factor in this case. He may not have felt a "spark" with you, for any number of reasons. Another guy will, have no doubt.

OP suffers from insecurity, I think we all witnessed that. However, calling her unattractive and pointing out her flaws doesn't make you any better.

 

Yes, perhaps she is not your type, to many others she could be a babe.

 

I do agree that OP needs to face her insecurities and come to terms with herself.
