irc333 Posted July 27, 2011 Posted July 27, 2011 Ever met people who have married VERY young, perhaps are still married and wondered why they did this. Not that I'm passing judgement, just curious. I found this to be typically prominent in smaller communities. There's this woman I know of that works as a Cashier at a grocery store (typical job for a small communities are either a bank teller, grocery/retail store worker, server, or a administrative job at a law office or city hall). Well, I almost could swear she was not even legal drinking age. Usually I assume women that young aren't wedded....but I remember asking her about Christmas, and if she's ready for it, and she was talking about visiting the In-laws for Christmas....which indicates she's married. She said she had 2 kids and one on the way. I swear this woman could easily pass for a sophomore in college. Saw her today coming out of the grocery store dressed nicely, very pretty....funny seeing them in their civilians. Anyway, and recently I had seen a personal ad online....age 32, bank teller, said she has 3 kids...9, 16, and 17. Remember she's 32....do the math. LOL She has a pic of her with her daughter, almost carbon copies of each other in youth. She was divorced for 8 years. So, anyone know anyone that has married this young that are doing well, or have most of them tanked?
HeartOfAPhoenix Posted July 27, 2011 Posted July 27, 2011 my parents, they dated for 6 months then got married while my dad was still in high school. I think you will find it does happen quite frequently but like you said I don't think it's popular for urban areas.
