Author U1987 Posted July 26, 2011 Author Posted July 26, 2011 I got through all 70+ girls I picked out on POF. I actually got a total of 8 responses. I wish it was a little more, but atleast it'll keep me busy for a while writing back and forth between all of them. I've already got one's number, but like I said, numbers don't guarantee anything. I'm going to go with Oak's advice and just cluster-bomb my state on OKC and go back and forth. My biggest concern is that I took that stupid matching survey, and it's listing girls I found attractive as just "friend" or "enemy." I'm worried it's going to restrict my pool. Do young women really put a lot of stock in the percent-match function?
oaks Posted July 26, 2011 Posted July 26, 2011 I got through all 70+ girls I picked out on POF. I actually got a total of 8 responses. Not a bad response rate. If you'd got more replies you might be struggling to juggle all the conversations. Good luck with turning some of those in to dates.
grkBoy Posted July 28, 2011 Posted July 28, 2011 First off, congrats on your response rate. 8 out of 70 is better than what most guys get. Kind of a shame with all the single women on these sites that most men get poor numbers. So how long should it be until I ask for the number and meetup? When you feel it's time. When she seems to want to chat with you all the time and you guys could hold lengthy conversations online for hours. If it's POF, it's when she wants to keep talking to you every day on the chat, or she's hinting at things she wants to do around town...things that you could take her out on a date for. And for the 34 other girls who didn't respond, is there anyway to follow up? No. If they read-deleted you or just plain deleted you, move on. I see some guys here trying all the time to re-email women who didn't respond and keep wondering if the woman will "change her mind" or "come around". Never happens. If a girl looked at your profile and rejected you, move on. Don't waste the energy.
Wolf18 Posted July 29, 2011 Posted July 29, 2011 2 out of 36 people responded, that ratio is way too high of a response rate for a man in the online dating world, be wary of bots
dispatch3d Posted July 29, 2011 Posted July 29, 2011 judge your profile. Dude just be aware you are throwing your profile into a hornets nest hahaha. Don't take them too seriously.
