fishtaco Posted July 20, 2011 Posted July 20, 2011 Mission debriefing, and I learned interesting things about myself. First there was Violet. I was exclusive with her for 3 months. Eventually it didn't work out due to familial pressure, on her side. But because I was in exclusive mode, I had my horse blinders on, I wasn't playing games, I was just me. Then I met Material Girl. I'm familiar with the hitting up women part. I can play my dating games, even mechanically if I have to. So I was able to get Material Girl, even though she falls into the 80% category of women that like bad boys. My dog and pony show had enough of a bad boy smell to it that she took the bait. But after we started dating casually, my true self came out... I was still in horse blinder mode due to Violet. And I'm not a bad boy. Eventually things won't work out with Material Girl no matter what, we're just simply not compatible. She wants a bad boy, I'm not a bad boy. LTR impossible. Done. But my performance was pathetic. I should have recognized that and threw all kind of crap at her, and use her (she's hot) to raise my social status with other women. Basically, not take her seriously, because that's what she's expecting and wants. But stupid me, I was on fast track to LTR with her, and I didn't see all the warning signs along the way. But at least after two weeks, even though I had my horse blinders on, I figured out something was wrong, and after two more weeks, I started seeing someone else and stopped taking Material Girl seriously. Valuable lessons learned. I need to be able to take off my horse blinders faster. Don't let the experience with the previous girl influence my decision making. And always start at zero, i.e. assume the woman is like Material Girl. Lowest common denominator. Then work your way up if she starts behaving in ways that demand respect -- that was my mistake, I gave her respect that she did not deserve.
