Can any of you say for sure that you or the other persons bipolar disorder or manic episodes contributed to your divorce and/or cheating? Not looking for an excuse, just reasons, because hypersexuality is a main side effect....curious to how much MI plays a role in the destruction of a relationship, thanks for the input...

it was huge - when I was married to her I had way too many moments of driving home from work wondering who was going to be home when I got there: happy wife or depressed/"I hate the world" wife... when I let her back into my life many years later it was about 3 month sin when I realized I was going through the same thing all over again - was she bi-polar or manic? Only a professional can diagnose for sure but she had all the signs and it made for a miserable person...

Although my STBXW was not severely BP she did have some symptoms of it and was medicated for it along with depression. It played a huge role in eventual implosion of my marriage.
