I'm ready to have sex with someone I've been with for a month and known for three years, the only problem being that he has a history of waiting 2 years (with the two other women he has had sex with) before doing the deed. According to him, they didn't vocalize their desires to have sex. I can be honest here and tell him that I want it, but I think I would somehow feel insecure that he waited for them and didn't wait for me. It's silly, because obviously if I want it, I would rather he not wait that long with me. I guess it's a matter of my bruised ego.. silly, eh? Is this perhaps a sign that I don't feel secure about the future of our relationship? Are there any other thoughts on this?

We've messed around quite a bit already, by the way, as I know he did with his previous partners.

So you want him to put out early but at the same time you also want him to wait for you.

I mean are you listening to yourself? Not only that makes you sound crazy but it also makes you sound selfish. Everything in your consideration is about what you want and none is about what he wants.

I'm aware of that. However, at the same time, I'm fairly sure he wants it. If I seem selfish, at least part of it is because the ball is in my court. It makes sense that I'm trying to figure out what I want, no?

So what do you want?

Well, He waited two years with his two previous gfs and they are now his exes. So I'm not seeing the correlation between waiting for two years to have sex and your long term relationship prospects.
