pineapples Posted July 17, 2011 Posted July 17, 2011 The really romantic slow ones... Do you like these kind of songs at all? And when do you usually listen to them? E.g. when you are in love, or just any time you are in the mood?
Damien Posted July 18, 2011 Posted July 18, 2011 Personally no, I don't - it's not my type. My ex liked these sorts of songs and I didn't mind listening to it (I switch to metal afterwards though!). As for when.. well we listened to it randomly, no set time / occasion etc. Sorry I couldn't answer your question any better
Eternal Sunshine Posted July 18, 2011 Posted July 18, 2011 My bf loves those songs (as do I). We listen to them when we eat dinner, while we make love, while we are falling asleep....
thatone Posted July 18, 2011 Posted July 18, 2011 depends on the artist. generic soft rock radio garbage? no. but a few recommendations that come to mind... Zeppelin ------- Goin to California The Rain Song Thank You Pantera (covering Black Sabbath) ------- Planet Caravan Alice in Chains ------- Got Me Wrong (the acoustic version from MTV unplugged) Don't Follow SRV ------- Life By The Drop Pink Floyd ------- Wish You Were Here Sting ------- Fields of Gold Shape of My Heart some of these are technically love songs due to the lyrics some aren't, but they're good either way and yeah i listen to them.
Eclypse Posted July 18, 2011 Posted July 18, 2011 My gf likes those crooners of today. And guys like Bruno Mars. I'm not into that personally. When I listen to love songs I listen to the 80s ones with heavy synth. Like Broken Wings by Mr Mister or Africa by Toto. And I consider a lot of Led Zeppelin songs to be love songs, like "All My Love" and I agree with the above poster that Wish You Were Here is an amazing love song. So I guess guys do like that stuff too.
Ginger Beer Posted July 18, 2011 Posted July 18, 2011 I don't, but I would like to. My music knowledge is not very cultured, just very detailed in the one genre I do listen to. I love Aerosmith - I Don't Wanna Miss A Thing though. If that's romantic. I wish I knew more music that was like that but I have no patience.
