D-Lish Posted July 16, 2011 Posted July 16, 2011 Stop doing it- it's annoying to others- tell yourself that before you text. I met a guy that started texting me 20 times a day- and I'd give him 3 reponses in that time. I just grew to hate him. You can learn restraint- you just have to associate over texting with logic over emotion. When you get the urge to text when you know you shouldn't= tell yourself you're going to annoy him and push him further away.

D-Lish Posted July 16, 2011 Posted July 16, 2011 Restraint is important. Use your logic over your emotion. Everytime you have this crazy urge to text- tell yourself you have to do the opposite. When my last ex dumped me, I used to give my room mate my phone at night to keep in his room so I wouldn't be tempted to do anything stupid (like sending an I miss you text). Don't allow your impulses to take over- think things through first. Post here if you want- it helps. We will talk you out of it :-)

I don't know how this happened, but I memorized his phone number and just seem to dial his number whenever I'm holding my phone. Ugh! I just texted him 1 hour ago, before I started this new thread. He hasn't replied yet. And I'm tempted to text him again. This is seriously a problem. If I were to text him now, I probably will say, "Hi, are you upset with me?" Ugh. Okay, where do I send the $1?
