Normally I wouldn't put much thought into it since it's such a new relationship but he has been great to me. My birthday is a week before his and he is taking me to key west for the weekend for my birthday and he'll be paying for everything. I don't want to spend alot of money because I'm unemployed right now. So I want to do aomethign creative rather than spending money I don't have .

I bring alot to the table... just because I don't have a job at the moment that means I have nothing to offer? Thats pretty silly. I have a graduate degree and have a career. Just out of work for the time being.

He would not have asked and arranged for a trip if he didn't want to, and wanted her to pay. It's a GIFT. Duh! There is nothing to be ashamed of being unemployed. Obviously you guys are idiots who don't keep up with the news. Newsflash - it helps on dates to be current with the basic news headlines! I think something inexpensive is a framed photo of the two of you that he can put up...maybe there will be a good photo from your trip! Also, a home-cooked dinner and homemade birthday cake?
