loverboy1984 Posted July 10, 2011 Posted July 10, 2011 I have a friend who just tried cocaine for the first time and he just got into a school that requires a drug test in a few weeks. As a medical student I told him it stays in his system for 3 days but the metabolite stays longer. Has anyone had any experience with this. Would it be ok after 3wks? thanks guys

carhill Posted July 10, 2011 Posted July 10, 2011 For an occasional user or one-time use, the benzoylecgonine should be out of the urine in 3-5 days. As one uses more and more regularly, the clearing after last use takes longer, as FF mentioned, three weeks should be the max under normal circumstances for urine testing. If the employer/agency uses other methods of testing, results vary. As an example, with hair testing, the longer the hair, the longer back in history the test can look for the metabolites.
