onthemendagain Posted July 9, 2011 Posted July 9, 2011 Hello All, I was celibate for 3 years before I met this guy that I really liked. We went out several times and really clicked. I met his family and friends. I thought he was the one for me so after several months I decided to spend the night with him. He knew that I had not been with a man in 3 years and said that he would not hurt me. That was about 3 weeks ago. The last time I talked to him was last friday (8 days ago). I didn't detect anything wrong until he didn't respond to a text I sent the next day. I haven't tried to contact him again and he has not tried to contact me. He is in barber college and my route to work takes me past the school. Where I used to see his car every day, I have only seen it twice in the past week. I want to call him so bad, but he has my number. I don't want to seem desparate, but I would like some answers. My gut is saying that he slept with me and then dumped me. What do you guys think? Should I call him or not? Do you guys think he dumped me or not? What should I do? I am hurting really bad and feel like I threw away a 3 year celibacy for nothing. That's what hurts the most. I would appreciate any insight, advice and wisdom that is offered. Thank you so much.
Mcnulty Posted July 9, 2011 Posted July 9, 2011 I'm afraid it sounds as if he got what he wanted and ran. If he hasn't replied to your text or contacted you in 8 days it doesn't look good. On the other hand, is he the insecure type? has he been hurt in the past? If so, maybe he is scared of moving the relationship forward and he may be testing you to see if you contact again and tell him you want him in your life, but only you know the guy.
