Do I need to call or is it OK to text her? (female opinion wanted)

Went on a first date with a girl from the internet. Went pretty well. We made tentative plans during the date to see each other early next week--specific activity. (So I asked her out again on the date.)

I am finalizing plans for the 2nd date early next week. Is it OK to do it via text? On the one hand, women like to be called instead of texted, but on the other, again, I asked her out for the 2nd date in person, at the end of our first date.

Call her. Confirming via text seems ok but nothing wrong with a phone call. You guys might get a nice discussion over the phone because of it.

Either would work for me. I just had a date last night that was finalized via text. If we'd tried to finalize plans with phone calls, we'd have played phone tag until the date has passed! I also prefer to minimize phone convos until we're actually dating-dating.

I think the younger you are, the more acceptable technology usage is in setting up dates (but not keeping lines of communication open - that needs to be in person or over the phone).

Thanks vsmini and stargazer. I'll call when I have to--to set up the first date--but I am secretly relieved when a girl says she would rather text. Logistically it's just easier.
