fanatic31 Posted July 6, 2011 Posted July 6, 2011 I have posted here before, long story short, met a woman and we just clicked. We ended up in a relationship rather quickly, and it was great. Met family, planned trips, etc. Spent alot of time together. I really thought this was going to be it. After a few months (like I said short) she just started to pull back a little. Always with the I have to get used to having a boyfriend again (33 and 28 we are) hard going from one extreme to another, etc. Well eventually she said she needed to slow down, that it was all too much for her and that she needed to figure all this out. That turned into her checking out completely after a week or two of us kind of stuck in limbo. I was devastated. But you people on here are amazing. Great advice, great insight, just incredible. So I did the NC. And at first it was for hope she would come back ,till I realized that was never happening. So now I heal, and do me. But the hardest thing is still the mornings. I find myself waking up at like 5:00 am and I just can't get the thoughts of this out of my head. I always just look back and say wow, we really had a good connection and never had a bad time together, and it ended so abruptly. People would often say it was like we knew each other for years. I was married before (wife cheated) and I honestly can say I had a better connection with this woman than my wife. So my question is, how do you get past those things, I hate the mornings. It is so tough.
AlisaMarie Posted July 6, 2011 Posted July 6, 2011 I would honestly say when you wake up and have those feelings to jump out of bed and distract them. It's so hard because all you want to do is lay there and think... sometimes it feels good to relive the love... and it feels good to take in a little pain and sorry. But you can't do that forever. Sometimes I wake up and go right to my phone, see NO text or missed call from him and then feel sorry for myself. Really, you should just get up and get moving. The less time you lay there and wonder the more time you will have to get your day started.
