Anyone in the same situation?

Hi Everyone

 

Just wondering, I see a lot of people on LS say how there ex's that broke up with them basically just ignore them and hardly initiate contact. Am wondering if anyone is in the same boat as me, in the way that I am trying not too contact my ex but everytime two or three weeks go past without contacting and I start feeling better its guaranteed he will contact me! Anyone have the same kind of thing? Ex that was the dumper keeps communicating.

 

Bit of Background - my ex of four years broke up with me in February because he wanted to move away for work and decided long distance was a no go. For the past 5 months we have been in contact, but I am really trying and have not initiated first contact in at least 2 months! I find it really hard though not too answer him when he texts me, and would find it easier if he just left it. The break up was very hard for both of us, but he made the decision and hasn't said anything about changing his mind.

 

Anyone with a similar situation or any advice? I mean It's been five months now since the break up, I am still finding it hard but much better then I was. But 5 months? I mean the contact really should have stopped by now, right?

Just don't reply to him. Delete texts, delete emails, ignore calls. He will get bored and stop.

Change your number.

And before you come up with an objection, we all existed without mobile 'phones once, and you haven't had one all your life.....

 

It's easy. Tell everyone (except pestering ex-!) that you're changing your number. Send out a mass email and tell everyone you're changing your email.

Ring your land-line phone company and tell them you need to change your land-line number.

 

Really, if you want to block him - then do it.
