You seem to have some sort of love/hate thing for hot girls. It's not about hot girls thinking they're special. Most girls think a guy approaching them may be going to hit on them. The whole men/women can't be friends argument doesn't help get rid of this notion. Plenty of women by default used to think oh he's being nice or have friendly talks to strange guys only for it to end with the guy asking for a number to arrange a date or the guy flirting/hitting on them.

Not 'hot girls' but women in general are largely approached my strange men with romantic/horny intentions. Women who will talk to you are receptive to that from you and those who do not are not interested. People are not generally interested in befriending strangers for no reason. Thus, no one will assume that is your intention whether it is or not.

How do i know if they share interests? well i have to talk to them!!!!! and they have to talk to me so we know what interests we have.

Try joining clubs that are about your hobbies or interests or talk to people in areas that are about your hobbies/interests. Tons of people I know I met from shared interest places or clubs- book clubs, gyms, fight clubs, organic farmers market, thrift shops, fashion boutiques, etc. One guy I know because we were in the same line for a horror movie. I say know because I consider those guys/girls acquaintances/colleagues not friends despite the fact most of them consider me a friend.
